Still rocking one of your original mid-height racks purchased way back in early 2017. Did a full rattle can refinish job on it as it’s now on a new Tacoma.

my question: is there any thought to offer your new awning mounts in an extended version to have the awning sit at proper height for people running mid-height racks? I have been dreaming of a solution like this forever now. Super excited that you’re offering these.

That's actually perfect timing, we just ordered an awning but I was just going to figure out some sort of redneck solution for keeping it cab height.

Over the weekend we slapped a 3.5" lift on our JT, along with 37's

We also got some of our new racks installed.

That new rack looks awesome. It looks like the base of the rack might work around some tonneau covers. Is that so?

yes, sir!! The new rack is designed to work with tonneau covers, and it does not need special adapters.

We spent a couple hours working on our battery powered lighting options tonight.

Oh and we also developed a jerry can holder this winter.

I have the 10in mid height rack wondering if anyone knows if mounting a 10lb propane tank is possible I've seen all the mounts that are out there I haven't quite taken measurements yet on the height of the propane tanks wondering if anyone on here knew if it was possible.

For those that mounted an iKamper, did you remove the tent rails to use KBVooDoos parallel rails or add a crossbar instead?

I am pleased with my 22” TACO MAX, Tonneau Brackets, and Cargo Max locking chest. 600+ miles with the Ironman Swift 1400 RTT mounted. Very solid. Next conundrum is deciding what to replace my cheap Amazon tri-fold soft tonneau cover with since I can no longer open it. I really want better bed access. I am looking at the RetraxONE XR, BAK Recolver X4s, and Pace Edwards. Maybe some other cheap roll-up. I see there are special brackets available - compatible with Retrax, Pace Edwards, Roll'N Lock, but I'm sure I'll loose my 2.5" rise of my current brackets. I could always make up the difference with the tent riser brackets for clearance concerns with the tent over the cab...decisions decisions...

Bakflip Revolver is just what you need. KB makes a set of brackets that works with them. That combo together is perfect in my opinion and thats what I run.

Thanks @shaggy135 - what version do you have? X4 or X4s? Seems like they changed something with mounting setup on the “s” revision but could be wrong.

I got the X4. About a month after I got mine (too good of a local deal to pass up at the time) the X4S came out. I was super bummed but sucked it up, ha. Still happy with mine though. It does everything I need it to do.

Nice. Definitely leaning towards a X4s. Are those the standard "MAX Modular Bed Rack Tonneau Brackets" you are using? (that raise the overall height of the bed rack by 2.5”) If so that is what I am already running.

You will need new brackets for the Bakflip cover. They're the same height, just specific to that cover.
