    Gotcha. Makes sense. Looking at those brackets I see one gotcha: "The 58” rack cannot be installed on a short bed Tacoma with this kit." This is my setup. Doh.

    The reason for that is because the bakflip cover has a latch in that area where the legs land when using the 58 inch rack.

    Makes sense. Maybe I should just get a Decked system and forget the new cover. Its within $2-300 of a X4s.
