Oh, I'm sure. Probably 1 1/2-2 times more than the typical gas stations in your area. Marinas always price gouge because they know people will pay for the convenience of their gas.

Limited wheels, extra rope hooks in bed.
My 1997 2.7L had 251,000 miles on it with plenty of almost dry runs in 19 years...Needle way below the "E" many times....Didn't even know where the fuel filter was......Knock on wood, never any problems with fuel pump or anything.

Yep. It only takes a small amount of fuel to cool the pump. Anything more than about a gallon won't matter and even those of us who run it low rarely if ever leave only a gallon left in the tank. Nearly every tank on my motorcycles is run to less than 2/3 gallon remaining. Same type of system. No issues.

Just did 455.8 on 18.618 gallons. 500 miles seems pretty doable with the V6 for OR models. I am sure if I had a 2WD SR5 500 mile tanks would be routine.

If my current rate of consumption on this last tank continued I would have got 500 miles with half a gallon left. My driving was not 55mph on a flat road. Sorry you have such a hard time believing others good experiences with their truck. BTW, this was 24.5mpg (computer showed 24.1) for this tank. That must really bother you.

So it was 60 on a flat road...

Fuelly tells the real story here. The 3rd gen is averaging less than 19mpg.

Not completely true. In my 2007 Tundra I would get 9% better economy with 91-93 octane vs 87 octane. At that time premium fuel was 11% more expensive so running it was more costly but I could get more mileage from a tank full when I needed it.

Ah you quoted a post from back when I was new to the forum haha, yeah I've since learned that what I said originally isn't accurate. Although whether or not buying premium makes up for the cost difference is still a matter of debate, I concede that I wasn't correct with saying that it won't make any difference.
