Am I missing something? Seems the choices are 265 or 285 only?? You can get a 275 right?

With some tires yes. It's a unusual size though. So it might be special order.
If you go to the wheels section of TW there's a tire size calculator there. Works wonders. :)
285 is the width. The next number 75 is the ratio of the first to get the sidewall height. So it's 75% of 285. And of course you know that r16 is a 16" rim.

If you want wider and taller than the stock 265/65/17 and don't want to have to cut the fender a 275 should be perfect I'm thinking

Wait. His tires are 265/65/17 stock on an AC?? How come mine were 245/75/16? Because I have 4x4? I had to PAY to get 265/65/17 by getting new wheels and tires!! That's messed up. :(

SR5s come with 245/75R16. TRDs come with 265/70R16 (Offroad) or 265/65R17 (Sport). What's the problem?

If I remember correctly, 285 is the the width, like you said. 75 is the side wall and all the measurements are millimeters. When you start talking about inches, the measurement is the entire diameter of the tire.

And it seems that I went and bought a size that came stock on another model.

Dusty, if the rear shocks dont do any lifting, whats its purpose if i had an aal back there also? And is it ok having different shocks in the front and back?

As I understand it, the new rear shocks accommodate the modified axle travel with the AAL. Stock shocks could be damaged with an AAL.

I have the 5100s up front and the N182s in the back. Toytec recommended this setup for me.

Ok cool. Do you have an AAL too? And when you have these separate orders, do they come with all the parts needed? Nuts, bolts, etc... Because if not, i was just gonna get a kit

Yes, I have the 1.5" AAL. It comes with all the hardware you need but some of it is reused from the old shocks. You can order new hardware if you want, just ask when you order.

That kit comes with new coils which you don't strictly need. All depends how much you want to spend.

So the rear shocks themselves don't provide lift. It's only the AAL. And I think i'll take the chance with the rear bilsteins. For the rear lift options at the bottom of the page, do you prefer 1.5" or 2"? I have 3 leafs

If you dont want to trim at all you need to stay with your stock size on stock rims, changing that up will rub somewhere, at sometime.

I have an 06 access cab and I just put on that lift, its a piece of shit.
I originally bought 285/70/17 size Duratracs, even with a shit ton of trimming you will still rub once in awhile. I traded them back for 265's instead. I'm leaving right now to have them put on.

Get a real lift, you really don't want this one...

I have front 5100's set at 2.5 and a 5th 1.5" AAL (Canadian truck with stock 4th leaf) in the rear. I'm using 285/70/17 BFG AT T/A's with aftermarket wheels and I only needed very minor trimming! Just like many members.

Yeah the reason I got that size was because I knew I only needed minor trimming, but the tire place wouldn't listen to me and wouldn't install them because "the tread is still bigger then most tires and even with trimming they would still rub". I know how to trim the inner fender wells, and I know how to do the body mount chop. I would be fine, but they are just assholes.
