Anyone know what is the best combination for maximum towing capacity for a V6 4x4?

It's a tough question to answer. The dcsb has a slightly higher payload. While the length of the dclb will ensure more stable towing, less sway, etc.

I believe all the v6 4x4s have the same row rating but the DCLB will be more stable as has been stated.

If you do a lot of towing, the F150 you have listed is the "best combination"

Looks like it went up for 2020 unless it's always been 6800 pounds. Always thought max was 6400.

Edit: So the answer is v6 access cab with 2wd
Edit again: noticed op said 4x4 so nvm

6800 has always been the AC 2wd V6 rating I think. Toyotas website builder or the manual will tell you for sure.

That configuration is available in an OR as well even though your link doesn't mention it.

My bad, didn't know it was always that.

I just googled a bit more and found 6500 pounds max for v6 access cab 4x4. So I'm guessing that's the max for a 4x4 since double cab 4x4 maxes at 6400.

OP, how much do you plan on towing and how often?

I hope my response didn't come across as snarky, I certainly didn't intend for it to be taken that way.

Yeah the 4x4 loses capacity due to the weight of the transfer case. Anything that adds weight causes a drop in towing capacity. Using Toyota's math, my current capacity is around #5400 lol.

Oh you're good dude don't worry about it.

What's really funny is that I've seen lifted 3/4 ton trucks in my neighborhood towing huge loads and they squat so much to the point they're looking at the sky from the drivers seat. Even though the sticker says 20k pounds max, that lift kit definitely took some some of that capacity away.

Impressive. A shed on the bed and another truck on a trailer.

    Airbags? Aftermarket springs?
