I think it was a few hundred vertical feet.

Kurt is hooking me up! Sometime in the middle of June. :/

In the mean time I cut the tip off the stock intake and pulled the hose back towards the firewall and sealed off the hole.

I lived in Kemmerer Wyoming for 3 years when I was younger and have many fond memories of traveling north into Bridger-Teton Nat'l Forest and the surrounding area. I have all this weekend off and although I figured there would be lots of snow up there still I thought they might have plowed the roads. Got north from Lake Viva Naughton and right as I passed the Bridger Nat'l Forest boundary I found a 3 ft of snow on the road as far back as I could see as well as a truck with a sled deck. Instead I played around that area for a while and drove home.

Not as pretty as the area just north, where I couldn't get to. I'll be back... as soon as the snow melts.

    Thanks dude.

Yes, stock. I may up to 4.56s after this summer. We'll see. I'd rather just get the supercharger.

If I drive VERY nicely, I got ~17. Haven't kept track with the snorkel yet but most report better MPG.

While I'm here in Wyoming for the summer I've been trying to retrace some of my past. I remember riding dirt bikes and camping as a kid north of Kemmerer, and I have two pretty vivid memories. One is very reminiscent of kcowyo's picture and I hope to find the location this summer.

I feel like I've almost certainly been there, and I think I have a fairly decent idea of where it is.

Another memory I have is camping in Bridger, mostly what I remember is that we hiked and found a strange log structure in the woods, as well as a wooden sluice we bathed in, in a creek. I think I have a decent idea of where this is as well.

In the past few weeks I've run up to Kemmerer twice and tried to explore these areas. The first I posted a few pictures from already. The second adventure turned out fairly similar to the first, it was short lived. With the insane amounts of snow we've received this year, these areas are either too muddy and wet or snowed in still (the middle of June), as such, I haven't gotten far "in" enough.

During the first exploration I drove up past Lake Viva Naughton on 223 to the Bridger National Forest. The road was pretty well maintained until I crossed the Forest Boundary, and about 300 yards from the sign was nearly 4' of snow in the road. That ended the trip pretty quick, and I spent the rest of the day fooling around.

This past weekend I took hwy 189 North out of Kemmerer and soon we turned off to the left on a two track, I knew we could hop over the ridge to county road 306 (fontenelle creek road). I didn't think about the amazing amount of water coming out of the hills though, and we soon came to a creek crossing that looked pretty daunting. I waded in and was soon up to my hip and the bottom 5" seemed rather soft so we decided rather than chance it, just to turn around. We soon passed the other side of the crossing and drove the ~25 miles to the Bridger forest past Commissary ridge. We did see 4' drifts off the side of 306 but no snow once we crossed into Bridger, just lots and lots of muddy rutted roads, one of which about swallowed my 35s. What ultimately made us turn around was that the road towards La Barge been closed by the FS and therefore, once again, I was unable to get far enough "in".

I'll give it a few weeks and try again.

I also took a quick trip up to my cousins ranch in the Sweetwater Gap of the WindRivers for a bbq.
I'm sure I'll have more pictures from up there soon as well.

Mhmm thats good news. I need to get a new air filter and clean my maf. I truley think those things are killing my mpg's!

Supercharger would be nice, but I would hate to run the high $$$ gas. I think after my lift i'll run 33"s till I bawls up or get a dd and make this truck my offroad only.

Yeah dumping money on gas blows but the torque and HP would be worth it. :D

That all depends on how fast I can get out of school and get a job. :D

Truck is paid off, what else am I gonna blow money on? A house...? Yeah right, mom, dad, I'm moving in so I can do a 5.7 swap.

I'm working for a contractor for Anadarko. I asked my bud today if he had seen a sweet tacoma around and he immediately said " yeah, one with a snorkel on it" thought that was funny. He drives the brand new STI thats parked back there. You guys are probably neighbors.
