Yea, I'm having the same problem with my truck (alignment).

I've explained to the tech that the UCA's are adjustable and what not and he just looks at me like I'm an idiot. 3rd Times the charm (hopefully) getting it done on Saturday!

Hopefully everything works out for you!

    Thank you, you too!

It's reassuring to know that I'm not the only one having issues hah.

I might end up taking it to a different location, as I understand I have 90 days to realign it as many time as needed.

My friend and I were supposed to go camping out in the Black Rock desert, but he bailed on me so I thought hell I'll just go up to Boca alone for some camping. Met Josh, a TW member and spent a little time out there with him and his GF and then headed up alone for some camping.

Had a steak for dinner but couldn't eat it fast enough before it got cold. Still delicious!

Went to bed and this is what I woke up to.

About 15 or a little more.

Unfortunately it takes quite a while to air back up the 42 psi I run my duratracs at. The little viair hasn't quit yet though.

    Verdi, Reno Verdi?

If so Verdi is about 18 miles from Boca reservoir.

Oh okay, yea I've got the ARB High output Compressor in my truck to run my Air lockers and to pump up my tires when need be (not lightning fast but gets it done) but I was never really sure what to air down too when in snow.

The ruts were deep and the truck was like a bumper car bumping the sidewalls against the side of the ruts. I think you should be fine with 15, but I'd be hesitant to go below on packed, rutted snow roads. If you're breaking deep powder you'd probably be fine lower(8-10), but I can't say for sure.

Oh okay, yea lowest I've ever done with my tires is about 18psi, some of my friends want to go out next weekend so I'll probably start at 15ish and if I feel the need to go lower maybe I'll try it!

Great Lookin Truck and awesome pics ya got. I grew up in Susanville and spent time out in the Black Rock Desert. We spent a few good times out there getting stuck, fishing, and riding 3 wheelers out there. This was about 20 yrs ago though. Havent been there since but would like to get back there. I remeber that in one place there was old wagon tracks made in the rock from when they traveled through there and some of the old indian writings on the rock walls.

Thank you! From reading the description of your truck I'm sure yours is great looking as well.

I think you're referring to High Rock Canyon which is farther north than I've ever been. I really want to get up that way though. Aside from the petroglyphs I hear there is a cool trail through high rock canyon which leads to this cabin you can stay in called Steven's Camp.

I've actually just recently been thinking about taking a trip to visit Susanville since I've never been. I was thinking some other time too maybe I'd drive up 395 to Susanville then go to Cedarville, then over to Vya, then down to Steven's Camp, High Rock, Soldier Meadows hot springs, then to Gerlach and back home.

Awesome pics and build! My truck will be VERY similar to yours and I'm glad to see it functioning well! I can't wait to get mine done.

I wish we had that kind of terrain open to the public for camping/exploring! I only have a 3 season tent though! I don't know if I'm brave enough to attempt camping in the snow like that. Maybe in the middle 30's, but definitely not 0*!

    SWEET TRUCK!

Max those pics are awesome, Boca in the winter is such an amazing place. We need to get a trail run going so we can get STUCK! What is the point in all that pretty snow if your not going to get doors deep in it and stuck! lol.

    Thanks guys!

I've yet to actually take an "expedition/overland" style trips but I want to. I suppose this style fits more in line with the goal of the truck though. Typically wherever I go it's just my rig alone and I want to be self reliant, I find the expo style to fit this best.

Until I take some real trips though it's still a wanna be overland build! :D

I'm looking at purchasing one of those GoPro Hero 960 or maybe the full 1080p ones. I've seen some locally on craigslist for twenty more than the 960s new. Not sure yet but I'll probably go for the new one and mount it somewhere on the truck to record trail runs.

Then we'll go get stuck Josh.

I love this at the 1:40 mark.

Well... I'm sold on the hi lift.

Yesterday I found a couple stock trucks with next to nothing in recovery gear stuck up on top of a local peak here. I was on my quad so I headed down to get my truck. By the time I got back up there it was nearly dark and because I was an idiot I managed to get myself stuck about 500 yards shy of them. With minimal digging, a hilift, and some rocks I backed out but by then S&R had showed up as apparently someone in a third stuck vehicle unrelated to the first two panicked before I showed and called 911. Well they had me go down and the rest had to leave their trucks up there till this morning. A couple guys from Reno4x4 were even standing by to help me. Oh well...

Should have taken a video of the unimog S&R had that got stuck right in front of me. They had a snow cat as well so it pulled the unimog out. :p

Need to get my sliders welded on, still waiting for someone to come through locally to help me out. I can weld, but I don't have a welder. That would have made getting unstuck real easy as I could have picked the truck up from each side and got rocks under the rear tires as well.

Also found a nice recovery strap and a shackle on each end yesterday while on my quad. :D
