Maxtrac Spindle Lift for 2nd Gen Prerunners

Heck yeah man, she pokey!! I've hacked and choped and she still wants to chew a fender flare to bits every now and then.

 

So you think i can do a 4-5" lift on the rear 5160 without issue? The extended 5100 is 3" longer, but i spent a lot on the 5160 already to not use them.

 

Damn, that's significantly shorter. I didn't know it was like that, eeek.

 

Shock Specifications:
5160
- Collapsed = 14.22"
- Extended = 24.06"
- Travel 9.84"

5100 extended travel
Collapsed: 16.34"
- Extended = 27.28"
- Travel = 10.94"

So the 5100 extended is only an additional +1.1" of travel.

The 5100 extended is only $220, but i hate to have spent $400 on the 5160 and not use it.

 

Sell them!

Is anybody here running methods 17x8.5 with 0 offset with Maxtrac?

Sean from Maxtrac responded to my email and said 17x8.5 0 offset 4.75bs would work perfect with the Maxtrac spindle. I asked if the .75 poke would help it clear my JBA uca, he didn't know for sure. Seems like it would though.

I would love to do the Maxtrac Spindle and then not have to run my .75" bora spacer.

 

I run 4.75bs w/ JBA UCA no problem with clearance

 

Wheel size and offset? Tire size? To be clear, thats with Maxtrac Spindle then no UCA clearance problems?

 

I believe my wheels are 17x9

 

I see most of the people have a 4 inch (spindle) lift in the front and 2 inch in the rear. I was wondering is there much difference from a 2 inch and and a 1.5 inch in the rear ? I kind of like the bulldog stance but if anybody can post a 4 front / 1.5 rear of their taco that would help me a lot. Thanks In advance !!

What prep and paint do you all suggest as far as preventing rust on the top of the spindle? I've got my spindles coming in the mail and want to get that all squared away before they are installed!

 

I just used Rust-Oleum Professional Black paint. I haven’t had any issues with mine and they’ve been on for about 2 1/2 years.

I just painted over the paint that came on them. Post pics when you get them installed!
