I have a 2007 tacoma and looking into getting maxtrac 4” spindles, I know it’s better to go with leaf springs to almost level it with the spindles but does anyone have just the spindles without a leaf spring lift? Curious to see how it looks. And what lift of leaf springs did you go with if you added them?

If you’re stuck for money you can temporarily run some blocks and then upgrade to some leafs when you can.

Check @ChadsPride build thread...I believe he's running the 4" maxtrax up front and Dakars in the rear but I'm not positive.

Also to answer the original question

Don't do maxtrac without springs, it'll look wack, blind everyone and be super hard to see over the hood lol

I didn’t plan on it but I’ve been getting help and I’m gonna set the collar of my coils up to the top or about almost up to the top while adding the new spindles so it’s only about 2” higher than it is now while also giving it better ride quality and then level it with new leafs

Yea that makes sense, I did my front 2.5 inch lift first before my rear setup and it was not the best call. I looked super stupid but since you're already lifted a bit it won't be as bad

I know you prob wanna see what it looks like, but like everyone said it is not going to look that great. Dakar leaf packs give 2nd gens 2.75in of lift. Dakars are very cheap as well. I would recommend this leafpack or the deaver U402.

Thanks for the link, I’m guessing Dakar is mostly used for this setup?
