MaxTrax and ActionTrac Bed Mount for 3rd Gen Tacomas

Wow, it looks good! I had thought about how to design the mount to install level, but the height of the lip that the mount installs under has changed height a few times from what others had told me so I had to allow some tolerance. How's the left and right play? I tried to make sure that it was a fit.

 

I'd like to support you and get one of these mounts to also fit under my RSI cap. Thanks!

HAHA, I got a good chuckle out of that one...

 

Bought the one for 2x boards but mine only fits 1 board. Also the fitment seemed really tight.

Hey, there's no sense reinventing the reinvented wheel. And I'll be checking the fit, etc. I've got a ditch lights to install and the license plate lamp delete/reverse light to do, plus dress my dash cam cords in 3 cars. Tomorrow is Truck Day.

 

Ironically, I'm meeting up with John today to see if I can come up with a design... No promises though haha

 

I'd be interested in an Xbull as well

 

There is probably 1/4 inch room on either side. I had no issues removing the trax and reinstalling them after I put the mount level.

 

EDIT: finally got the bolt out, used some WD40. easy to install thnak you

 

Finally got my MaxTrax in and mounted to front bed rail.

 

Thanks @TravelinJohn for letting me take a closer look at the Xbull traction boards! After taking a closer look I don't feel confident I can design a 3D printed solution for mounting the Xbulls. The handles don't have a thru hole handle design similiar to the MaxTraxs. I think it would be best to mount to these thru holes that exist on the Xbulls.

I’ve been using the existing holes and a carriage bolt, which have been fine. Would’ve just been cool to snap them on.

 

Thanks to @supralee for thr mount. Got my stuff finally mounted this morn.

 

I love my mount. I had an issue with my first one delaminating and Lee took care of me. Great customer service and awesome product!

I realize I’m reviving an ancient thread, but does anyone know if @supralee is still making these traction board mounts?

I sent him a PM, but I see he hasn’t been active on here since early February, so maybe not? I’d love to get my hands on one of these.

If anyone has one they don’t use and wants to part with it, let me know.
