Thank you for posting pictures! I spent a good amount of time prototyping and testing the mount before offering them for sale. I'm glad you are happy with it!

Hello, sorry, these mounts won't work with the Smittybilt traction boards as they are different in stack height and the handles are different dimensions. Send me a message and I can try to adjust the design to work based on the dimensions you can provide me. Thanks

What a wonderfully simple and creative design!

Have you had any issues with them breaking? Having some experience 3d printing, I know the part would be stronger if the layers were perpendicular to the the way they are in the pictures, but would probably necessitate more removal of support material, assuming you dont have some super high end printer like a Stratasys or another one with solution dissolvable supports.

Have you tried printing them in another orientation? I know the way you have them printed in the pictures does give them a nice super flat surface to mount with, just curious.

If you milled these out of like 6061 folks would probably pay double for them at least.

Anyway great job and thanks for making these available to other folks here on the forum!

I look forward to seeing other clever designs you come up with!

Thanks @Hercanstein ! During the prototype phase I had one break but that was due to cheap Amazon basics filament and layer delamination. I actually did want to print in that orientation but in order to maintain some of features and also eliminate the use of support material, which is the same as the print material, I decided to print in the current orientation. Actually have not tried printing them in a different orientation since the current design works well.

Purchasing a higher end dual extrusion printer so I could print water soluble support material is definitely next on the list! Unfortunately, they're really expensive! They're in the territory of a large CNC mill machine which is also on my list haha. If I had the CNC mill machine I probably would pursue a lockable design but aluminum stock and machining cost would probably cost more than what people would be willing to pay for them.

Thanks! I've actually been working on this design next because I use a Baofeng all the time when I'm offroading and camping. I need to stop slacking, refine the design, and do some testing.

these are a great product! I have been using for 6+ months and they have held up great. They keep the maxtrax hidden and out of the way but easy enough to to get to if I need them.
If you make that baofang radio holder I will definitely buy one. Would be awesome with a ram mount built in.
