Still never got an invoice or phone call from them but I reached out again to Melissa today after seeing the pending charge on my card. She gave me a tracking number and said the pins are backordered still/again but should be in the next batch next week. Looks like my 4 will be here Friday-ish.

I guess they completed my order without me? Glad I followed up so I can keep an eye out for 'em.

A question about mounting the maxtrax: The instructions seem to say that they need to be mounted horizontal. Does this mean lying flay like on top of a rack? I need to mount mine on the SIDE of a bed rack (so they are on edge so to speak). I cannot see why this would be a problem.

    What do you guys think?

How have you seen them mounted?

My mounting pins should be here Friday! :woot:

I hope to have them mounted this weekend. I ordered the lock Maxtrax recommends but likely won't have it this weekend. I will still be able to get a good idea of what it will look like

This is how I am going to be mounting mine:

I will say they are much heavier than I expected. Seems much more durable than the treds I've held

I was not informed that they were shipped but my two pairs and pins arrived today. Perfect timing as I've got tomorrow to mount them on my rig before Sunday's departure.

    Thank you!
