I'd be so worried about chewing up tires with those.

"The alloy teeth are significantly harder and more durable than the rubber found in your tires, this means you can expect faster and more secure engagement with the tire tread. This not only makes XTREME the most durable recovery track on the market, but also the fastest."

Exactly. I thought about cheap ones but the more i thought about it the more sense it made to spend the extra for maxtrax. One of the biggest things is they will flex. They don’t break.

mine rode in the back of my truck for a long time without getting used. First time I used them I was stuck in the snow and got out in 30 seconds. Second time I was out west and used them to bridge a gap and as a result didn’t rip off my rear bumper or get stuck. Easily for themselves already.

I’d rather spend the money and have them last.

In sincerity though, the only video I watched shows the x-bull boards doing the same thing as maxtrax. So, was truly curious of that was the case. I learned that there is a difference in longevity, which isn’t too important to me since I won’t use them often.

I’ve not used them, but I’ve not burned off any teeth from the mkII I have. I be sure to jam them in so they grab right away.

The x bull boards I referenced in my initial reply to you were brand new, and cracked on the first trip out. They lived a short life. I would want something more reliable than that and not worry about it failing when I need it most.

I used to have the same mentality for offroad lights.

"Psh I never use them much so I'll buy 10 pairs of these cheap Amazon ones for the same cost as some Baja design." Well after going through enough sets of the cheap shitty ones I upgraded and it lit up my world. Easily worth the increase in price. Goes back to "you get what you pay for". For some, the cheap stuff is fine based on their needs and what they want to spend. Some would rather spend more and get a nicer quality thing.

Same. I figured when I needed them, the last thing I wanted to worry about was them failing.

definitely agree on lighting too. People say I wasted my money, then they see the output my truck has compared to theirs and they suddenly understand there is actually a difference

xbulls do not like cold weather I had a pair and they pretty much exploded the first time I used them to get out of a snow drift. If you don't live somewhere cold then maybe they work fine I dunno.

Im not trying to change anyones mind because I wont be held accountable. I buy the stuff that has been proven and tested time and time again. Do it right and do it once.

Update: with everything going on I have yet to hear anything. I am about to get off work in a bit and I will be sending yet another email

Then you need to watch the 4 wheeling Australia video that's been posted in this thread. It clearly shows the difference is more than longevity.

You can buy 8 Xbull traction boards from Amazon for the price of 2 Maxtrax... Sooo I bought a pair a little while back.
I've been holding my breath for this effort/thread but tbh, it doesn't seem like it's going anywhere. I've organized group buys in the past, and if a vendor is interested then they typically jump at the opportunity fairly quickly.
