Actually used them today. It was just a suck fest all around. I wasn't sure how well they would work in this situation and initially thought I was going to pack a bag for a very long walk to the road and possibly the next town over. I was buried to my frame at times and used the maxtrax to ramp out of the holes. Without a pull pal you probably wouldn't have been able to winch out of here either.

A few tips from this experience.

    • Keep the leashes away from the tires the best you can. I had a few moments where the leash got trapped under the tire and I couldn't move forward or backward so I had to muscle it out.

    • Use the shovel feature to build a nice ramp. I tried to dig it flat and also put it in at an extreme angle up. Having a smooth transition helped the truck pop out of the hole and go a foot or two forward before smashing another hole. If it was flat I barely made it past the maxtrax and often had to wiggle it out from the tire.

    • The shovel works awesome but I wish I had an actual shovel with me (forgot it). When I was up to the frame the maxtrax were stuck under the truck. I was able to use the leash and a pipe I keep in the bed to get them free though.
These are worth their weight in gold. I will be purchasing 2 more pairs in the future. One for my dad to use around the house and the other so I can layer them and get a further distance in situations like this. I was going to go with a set of TREDS as well but the handles were worth it.

That last image shows how easy it is for these to disappear. There is one in the bottom right corner and then the other in in the picture as well.

100% of the group buy orders were fulfilled today with our stock order arrival and all those waiting should have seen their cards charged and tracking information emailed over. Thanks again Adam for setting this up and everyone for participating. While the group buy pricing and free shipping has ended we can still offer competitive pricing and can ship as soon as tomorrow :D

Got mine this afternoon! Look great!

Unfortunately, the mounting pins won't work for my set up after all so I have a set of 4 never mounted/used pins for sale if anyone is interested

Picked my tan ones up today. To all the haters who won't consider anything other than gaudy orange: what if you get stuck in an orange slushie 7-11 truck spill? Huh? WHAT THEN!?

You must have been planning on getting Maxtrax for awhile if the legs on the bedrack lined up perfectly with the holes on the maxtrax. Nice work!
