I've been waiting for one of those deals to pop up so that I could run it to get some new tires for the Expedition. Prices have been increasing and I've heard that the combined shipping issues and a rubber shortage are the culprit. Finally bit the bullet and ordered new ones through DT while I could still get them to price match and before a mfg rebate expired.

    ....oh well....win some, lose some.

Got mine installed today. Initial impressions are good but way too soon for any reviews. Definitely a good looking tire in person.

Tires were mounted with with yellow dot indexed to the valve stem and required zero weight on any wheel. Techs had never seen that before. At least not on all four tire/wheels for a given rig.

Looks fantastic! 285's? Did you CMC?

    Thanks, and yes they’re 285s.

I do have a CMC, but so far the only rubbing I experienced was on the front fender. No contact on the back fender wall even with mud flaps. Admittedly I had already pretty aggressively trimmed up the mud flaps, and this is all based on the drive home and hitting different angles on my driveway.

Thank you. I'm looking at the 2857017 on Ray 10's -10 offset. Just trying to decide if I should do the CMC before I mount or see what happens

Also a small part of me is thinking I don't need 285 and the 265's might be just fine. Tough choices!

If it’s something you can do yourself or at minimal costs, it’s good peace of mind if you think you’ll ever run anything over 265. If it’s something you have to pay someone to do, I’d probably hold off until you know you need it.

Our wheels are the same spec, but there are too many other variables to say your results will mirror mine with 285s.

Haha I don’t ‘need’ 285s either. Just wanted to run them this time around instead of another 265. I really liked the 255/80 size, but didn’t like or need the bulk/weight of the E load tire when I ran those.

Trying to order now. But the road hazard coupon is not working. So I called. They put a ticket in....said to call back tomorrow but won't link my cart to the ticket.

Sams Club has the Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs out the door for $833 installed w road hazard. SimpleTire comes out to $977 installed w warranty. I'm not a huge Goodyear fan.......

The response to my email where I expressed interest in a SL rated 265/75/16. Is that they don't currently make it

FINALLY! Got em ordered for $880 out the door including shipping/install/road hazard.

2657017. Nov 22nd they should arrive and I'll get em put on. I don't think I could have done any better on the price. For reference they're $183 now. They were $194 this morning.

Coming from the stock wrangler's, I did notice more road noise, but about what you would expect from an aggressive AT. The road noise was not bad at all though even at highway speeds. I can still listen to the radio on the same volume settings. Ride quality didn't change for me with the SL rating. I have the psi around 34 right now.
