Just once. It was a heavy, slushy snow, but not a lot of it. I thought they did great, but my experience was limited.

I see people talking about buying these at discount tire. I cannot find them on their website. It shows only ATV and trailer tires. Am I missing something here? If so, anyone got a link for me

I couldn't find them there and when I called they said they couldn't order them. So I called Les Schwalb and they said such a tire didn't exist. It's why I just went with Simpletire. No affiliation, but it ended up being a lot more simple.

I ordered through Simple Tire. Process was fast. Install was cheap. Insurance was great. I'd recommend them. The tires arrived in perfect shape. These things balanced with almost no weights which was a first for me. And I came from verrryyyy expensive tires on my VW R32. They came w index marks on them.

I know you have the 35x11.5, but throwing a tape measure at them. How much did they actually measure out to when brand new, or currently if you don’t recall. 34.0 - 34.5 to tread edge, not centreline.

I just saw a video walk around of this tires on a truck, and looked like Maxxis might be keeping real sizes unlike other manufacturers.

    thanks in advance.

If anyone is in the NC area I can get them from a wholesale warehouse.
Discount Tire guy thought they offered them when I talked to him, but they don’t. However Discount Tire will still offer their insurance coverage on the tire, he said they will replace with equivalent or they will reimburse you.

Mine were indexed to the yellow dot :notsure:

All four balanced out perfectly with no weights though, and roll smooth as butter.

This is interesting... I've been reading contradictory information about this. Some say the Yellow Dot is the lightest part of the tire and the Red Dot is the heaviest. Others say sometimes there are two dots, and that the red dot takes the priority over the yellow dot.

Incidentally, mine took virtually no weight

I’m very happy with this Tire choice.
Mine are indexed and did take some weights mounted on New 16” Pro wheels.
Thanks again OP for introducing these to us.

I am no expert, and did little to no research prior to getting my set mounted. The only data I looked at was ironically linked in this thread.

Mounting Your Tires | Yokohama Tire

Now that I am re-reading the article, there is a sentence that could be interpreted to suggest the red dot (Uniformity mark per the article) would be used in priority of the yellow (Lightest tire point per the article). That is assuming both markings are present.

"If the point of minimum radial run-out is not indicated on a wheel assembly, the weight method of match-mounting should be used."

Anyone have a tape measure pic of the diameter of a SL rated 285/70-17?
    Thank you in advance!

Yay I'm apart of the Lunar Rock Maxxis Mafia !

I have only put 60 miles on these tires but they are as smooth and quiet as OEM to me.
Maybe a tad bit more stiff? I'm not totally sure though being the OEM tires were at 27-28 PSI and the maxxis tires are at 32 PSI.
