Installed 285/70/17 SL's today. I have less than 5 miles on them so far so not much to report. Just really thankful that they are on the smaller side of the diameter range for a 285 tire. I have zero rubbing on my cab mount or anywhere else -- even in reverse. I'll probably do some heat gun action to both the front and back of the wheel well plastic just so I remain with zero rubbing out in the dirt at full flex.

I should note that I had mine shipped to a local tire shop. They had mine and another set of these waiting for another customer. Great experience with both simpletire and the install. I confirmed that the install price was considerably cheaper when purchased with the package online.

Thanks guys for making the decision easy for me. This thread deserves all the credit.

First rotation at 7k miles. Down to 11/32. Still performing extremely well and wearing evenly, if maybe a little faster than I'd like.

Took longer than expected to get the CMC, but here are the mounted photos.

35x11.5r17. Real world measurements on truck 34.0 height and 9.75 on a 8.5in rim width. SCS and tire 88lbs.

It doesn't look like you were forced to do a viper cut along with the CMC. Did you have a lot of trimming in the front to fit those beasts?

To get to the Mall and back, so far. The front is cut and pushed forward. The original holes are cut & gone in lower corner, a new hole drilled, and a inner zap strap holding in place.

I’ll update once I flex it out properly. (They’ve only been on for a few days so far) I thought I had it good on first try, but reversing told me otherwise. I could cut way higher on front of course, but would rather do it slow and in steps. Not interested to see the rear of the fog light if i don’t have too.

Hey bro, If your order hasn’t shipped yet cancel it. They sent the wrong tires.

Canceled, but not in time. Received five 225/40/18 Gt Radials instead of The Maxxis - At least Wally accepted the return.

I've had these on for about a year and a half now, and it's time for new tires. I think I could have gotten a few more months out of them but I need an alignment in the front. I love the look and will probably put the same thing back on next week.

Got them out yesterday. They handled great on some pretty fun rocks. I have no complaints at all.

If you're ever in South Dakota try the Camp 5 Jeep trail- pretty intense

They are definitely smoother on the road than my KO2's.

265/70r17 XLs and they are hands down best tire I’ve used. They have taken everything I’ve thrown at them so far. Great size for tacoma IMO, they measure 32 inches plus they are only 39 lbs and show no signs of wear or damage after wheeling aired down and high speed dirt roads.

I really wish I could find a vendor that would do a semi-bulk order of these. I need to restock my fleet supply shed.
