So far no complaints. Minimal road noise and don’t notice any hit to performance though I do have a manual. Did a lift at same time so hard to have good perspective of just tires. Goal was to have big improvement off-road with minimal hit to drivability. Will report back when I actually get them off the pavement.

Just ordered a set of these through Simple Tire @ ~$165ea in 265/75R16 SL. Will report back once they are installed and have some miles on them.

Good tire. Would buy again. Like most AT tires, they get louder as the mileage increases.

Couldn’t pass up a deal on some Maxxis Razr ATs from Walmart.com

    P285/70/17 for $167/ea.

Weighing only 43lbs they are light and ride very nice so far. Also very quiet but have a decently aggressive tread and sidewall look.

For those wondering. I did not measure the diameter of the tire.

Not sure how I never saw this thread since the OP, but have been running these tires since April 2021. 265/70 R16 from simple tire.com I’ve been happy with them, 40k+ miles. I should really measure my tread depth…

Purchased a set of xl 265/70r17 and to call them that size was a stretch. Definitely on the smaller size. They felt ok but not super sturdy feeling. Lucky for me they were 3 year old rubber and the shop switched them out for me. Went with Toyo at3 in a c load and they seem like the perfect tire for the truck. (Original tires were KO2 in a E load).

After reviewing this thread and others about what the best A/Ts with good snow traction would be also with weight being a factor as I was coming off some E load toyo rt trails. (Shaved 72 pounds) I went ahead and bought a set of these in 265/75/R16 in the new
SL size that came out earlier this year. I ordered them through simple tire and they took about a month to get here because they originally sent a completely different set of tires.. and so far they have been everything I have read about. Great tire would recommend.

I just read through most of this thread and pretty sure this will be my next tire. I have a 2" lift via 5100's and progressive AAL along with '21 TRD 17" 4Runner wheels. I run OEM mud guards and don't want to deal with scrubbing so I have reservations about 285/70r17.

I'm currently running 265/70r17 Toyo AT3 and feel they look a bit anemic. These SL Toyo tread width is 1/2" narrower than the Wildpeak SL 265/70r16's that are on my 2000 Taco.

Anyone else run Razr 285/17r17 on 17" wheels with the same +4 offset along with mudguard?

Can someone confirm the width of the tread on SL 265/70r17's? These Toyo AT3 SL 265/70r17 seem to have a narrow tread pattern of right under 8.5". I have some SL Falkens that have nearly 9" of tread width.

I'd greatly appreciate a photo of Maxxis 265/70r17 SL similar to the photo below.

I just got 265/75r16 SL razr ATs installed and here’s the tire width on mine @rybern it’s a little difficult to tell because some lugs are cut differently on the side but it’s around 8-8.25”

Haven’t driven more than 10 miles but so far so good. Sound around 45-50mph was noticeable but not bad at all. Didn’t notice any sound doing 70mph on the highway. I’m coming from the Firestone destination le3s that looked like donut tires. Those thing were dead silent until you tried turning and they chirped like crazy.
