Pretty happy with these so far. Got them on yesterday. The last two days have seen record breaking amounts of rain and the difference in hydroplaning is very noticeable. These handle much better on wet roads and through puddles than my stock tires. Very quiet so far, don’t really notice much difference, and I think they change the look of my truck for the better. 265/70r17

They look fantastic!! Have you ever run any of the other popular AT tires? Wildpeaks? BFGs? Etc, and can you draw a comparison. I know it's hard with new tires, because new tires always feel great.... But very curious.

Those are good looking wheels. Where did you get those bad boys?

I don’t. I was pretty sure I was going with wildpeaks based on everyone saying they are quiet enough for daily driving, but these were too tempting to pass up. I will say I can’t imagine the wildpeaks could be much quieter. These don’t seem much louder than the stock tires. I only had about 1000 miles on the factory tires before switching them out. I spend a TON of time in my truck for work, so road noise is a big concern. I have run BFG MTs in the past on different rigs, but obviously a different application than these. Time will tell, but so far these are a big win for me, especially for the price.

these are based on the new style TRD pro wheel, and I got them from a seller in CA via eBay. Good price too!

I’ve had mine on about a week now. I like them a lot more then my ERated KO2s. Truck feels quicker and more responsive with the lighter tires and it’s a smoother ride. I live in SoCal so can’t comment on how they do in the weather. It’s 86 degrees and sunny out today.

Great thread! I’ve been a big fan of Maxxis for their bike tires and after I met some bogans in Aus a few years back who loved them.

(insert ignorance) - I know folks are just getting them, but do they seem to affect MPG over the OR’s stock Wranglers? I do a lot of highway driving so mpg & noise matter quite a bit. I’m not a murder/crawler, but I like to get out on BLM areas and camp frequently, and see snow at least a few times a year.

    Thanks!

As far as noise I can’t really comment over stock. I put bfgs on as soon as I got my truck. I would say these are about the same. Ride is smoother for sure compared to the bfgs. No pics of them on the truck yet. I’ll try to get some this weekend. I do have some on page 3 of them mounted on the wheels.

I’m about 300 miles into them. So far noise is great. I believe MPG went down slightly. Maybe 1mpg or so over the stock tires. Hard to say because I also have a tune installed and recently made an adjustment to as getting about 22-23 with my stock 17’s.

I emailed Maxxis and Simpletire. Apparently they are so popular they are completely out of stock in that size.

man i like these.. need more sizes though.. But, looking at the sizes, a 265/70/17 is 31.8 inches.. biggest of that size ive seen.. I was looking at some 255/75s that are only 31.9. And these are light too. Even a 285 is only 43 lbs
