Yeah, side by side, these look a lot like a Ridge Grappler - like, almost a clone. And when I first got them, I thought they looked more like a hybrid than an AT.

They don’t come in a C load though, right?

They come in SL, which,. honestly, may be better than C. C loads often times have lower load ratings than SL, because modern C loads are designed for jeeps. Ultra light, no payload, no towing.

FWIW - here are the 265/70R16 SL ones with newly installed Rokblokz pushed all the way into the truck (if you’ve installed these, you know what I mean).
I do think also that the truck sits a small (very small) bit lower on these tires than the Goodyears. While I haven’t measured it - the hanging tennis ball I use for lining up into my garage says so. :D unfortunately I don’t have a before and after for air pressure, etc. so it’s all anecdotal.

The treads are usually not as deep on SL though, right?

    https://www.maxxis.com/catalog/tire-588-104-razr-at

All this information is there. In the case of the question, it’s 13 vs 15 /32. (At least for OEM tires sizes - SL v LT)

But also SL comes with a 60,000 warranty, where LT is 50,000.

and my measurement on a new SL

Anyone have an actual mounted height of a 285/70/17? My current 285/70/17 Terra Grapplers run pretty small. Thanks

That’s pretty deep for an SL.

Is there a different ‘tow rating’ on the SL vs the stock OR Goodyears? I’m struggling to find it for either (probably googling it wrong)

You are looking for "load Rating" or "Load Range" The load range between the OEM goodyear and SL Maxxis 265/70R16 is exactly the same.

So the tire rating the door placard calls for is SL 112T SL = Standard Load. 112 means 1120 Kg, 2470 lbs. So even looking at heavier LT/C or LT/E you want to see that number 112 or greater. And many LT/C rated tires may only be 102 or 113. So an LT/C may have a lower load range than an SL.

    Tires can be surprisingly complicated.

Thanks a ton, I very much appreciate it. Kinda surprising I’ve never looked into this before - was only ever concerned with speed ratings!

Did some light off roading today with my brother who has Ridge Grappler. They're pretty similar performance wise from the short amount of time I drove his car.

If anyone else following this thread was thinking about ordering from this place, I'd recommend not doing so. Ordered SLs, got E's. They don't respond to emails and they don't answer the phone, and their voice mailbox is full.

And to follow up, Simpletire has the SLs in 285/70R17 back in stock for about $50 less.

Just ordered the Maxxis razr SL from simple tire. OTW now. Had some shipping issues and their phone tree is not the best. Kept getting dropped using their prompts. Once you get some one they’re good

The 75 is only available in an LT/E and weighs 53lbs.
