Super cool camp ground spot my cousin told me about this weekend. It's called South Navarre camp group, its about an hour and a half deep in the back country/hill area of Manson/Chelan. Pretty cool spot, lots of gravel roads. Would need recovery gear forsure, as snow could be a big deal. It's what stopped us about 4 miles away from the site. It is in rattle snake territory. His game camera also caught 2 good sized cougars, a black bear, and a coyote about 6 miles away from said camp group. Also saw a few rattlers in the area. Would be best for early fall. At least by then the rattle snakes would be gone.

I had no idea rattlers were around our area, and I spent a good amount of time in the east cascades and Yakima for the army.

 

Dammit! I guess I saw what I wanted to see. I had it in my head this was for this coming Saturday, 5/18. I'll probably head up there on 5/18 anyway, same time, same place for the meet up. I have a new ar500 66% size D target I need to break in. I also hope to have an electric clay thrower by the weekend so bring your scatter guns for some clay busting!

Your in its neck of the woods. With how much they help control the local rodent population, I'd just leave it alone. It will let you know it's there long before it will bite you.

 

Yeah, I was being facetious. But nothing is truly protected in the yakima training center where we shot tens of thousands of rounds and made craters from crates of c4, mortars and other things that go boom.

I wouldnt camp up their until early fall. Would be too damn hot and lots of snakes.

 

other news, i got that C4 low-pro winch bumper coming in the first week of June along with some Extreme LED light bars

 

Folks, it's confirmed, my thrower will arrive on Friday and I'm getting a bunch of cases of clays tonight. Bring your shotguns! Should be a blast. PM showers only on Saturday so we should be good.

 

I might be able to swing by the brewery on Saturday.

The 18th is also Mules annual Open House if I am not mistaken..

next time man. i'll be doing this all summer. not every week, but regularly.
