Dang, you must have a beast washer. Or did you go to the laundromat?
Is it all one piece or no? Was just starting with drying it out under and over, wet vacced. Then it started raining so I halted work

If you have the Toyota RS3200 keyless system and a previous owner or you performed the "free alarm upgrade", I believe it will cut the fuel pump or something keeping it from starting. I'd dig around behind the kick panel at the drivers left foot and see if that black box is mounted up there. If so, that's another thing to diagnose.

Hoping tomorrow better weather, thanks for the info, I will check. I have a keyless entry, with panic button but man I’ve all but broken in to the truck without setting anything off . That side of the truck wasn’t in the water either

I'm digging in my archives from when I had my 2003 double cab TRD OffRoad. Here's the RS3200 module that came in mine. I did the "free alarm upgrade" mentioned here on TW.

Read my mind Jason, always good to know what I’m looking for. Is it always in driver side kick panel or is it possible to be elsewhere ?

Well, if I put the new ecu in next week and it doesn’t fix the issue, I’m sure it’s this alarm module. Hopefully you guys can assist me in having a plan if this is in fact the case.

Some fancy Samsung washer. And its a double cab carpet. It took a few minutes to get it in there and getting it out was a bitch. It wasn't dirty but it stank really bad from a water leak in the cab. Its doable just a pain.

Fresh laundry scent in the truck.

@JasonLee there was one previous owner. If he did do the free alarm upgrade , there would be another small black box, yes? Thank you for your help!
If this wasn’t upgraded then there is no way the rs3200 could create an immobilized engine situation , right?

There doesn't necessarily need to be an additional box for the free alarm upgrade mod. There is a glass breakage sensor (GBS) that has a little microphone and a red LED in it that is usually mounted down below the stereo that is part of the official alarm system that can also be added with the free alarm upgrade.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/tvip-upgrade-to-stock-rs3200-alarm-system-2003-2004.524376/

Here's the install PDF for the "full" TVIP alarm so you can see where the wiring goes and the connectors if it is helpful.
    https://www.parksoffroad.com/tacomamods/miscinfo/taco2003rs3200plus.pdf

I'm still trying to dig up my notes to confirm if my memory is valid that the free alarm upgrade does indeed cut fuel or something if triggered. Those notes may be long gone since I used to use Evernote 10+ years ago and long stopped using it and deleted my account.

I know I don’t have the gbs module and no vip stickers , so I doubt I have the upgrade. Still wondering if just factory installed rs3200 could immobilize my truck though without having the upgrade. Thanks I’ll review the docs now

Could someone give me a name or pn for the airbag unit in front of my shifter? I unplugged the harnesses and sprayed them and did see corrosion on pins and the connectors. I want to just replace. So..if I could get to it and I knew it was underwater , I unplugged and sprayed all connectors. And many that didn’t get water got sprayed too. Gonna launder the carpet at the local laundrymat . The part number should be on top of it.

    Unfortunately don’t have that bit. It’s like a T35 maybe. Biggest I have is a t30
