It would probably cost in the $800-$2000 range to have your truck transported by truck to your new location, assuming still in the US. Towards the higher end if you want enclosed transport. Some of the lower cost transport places put it out for bid, so you have to be ready to go when the driver is passing your way.

    Vehicle:
    2017 Tacoma OR 4x4 (formerly a 1998 SR5 PU, 2002 OR 4x4, 1995 4x4 4Runner, 1985 4x4 Toy PU) ... and RIP’s (rust in pieces) to a Bronco II 4x4 & S10 Blazer 4x4
Any pre-2018 third GEN without the Tacoma nanny is worth a lot more!

I didn’t read all the posts here but, where are you located and are you relocating to California? There are listings for people looking for vehicles to drive one way across the country, and you can check up on their background to see if they’re insured and bonded. If you had posted this earlier and happen to be in Georgia, my son is coming to California this week and would’ve jumped on the chance to drive a pickup back with his stuff as well.

Everyone I know that has sold a truck, the buyer almost always asks for the stock parts.

“I see that you have $3000 fake bead lock rims, but do you have the stock rims? That’s what I want.”

There’s plenty 2nd Gens that sell for cheap or not at all. I’ve been looking at one, 160k miles, original owner, new frame, AC LB selling for $13,500, no buyers. He’ll sell it closer to $10-$12k

Anyone buying a 2nd Gen over $20k must really like the cake like frosting fender flares or just like the smell of the old owners farts in the seats.

Aftermarket parts on trucks are like pools to homes. They can be a blessing or a burden depending on the buyer but like all things, if done correctly can recoup some of the costs.

Modded vehicles tend to get their value back the older they get as they become more of a niche product.

If you live in the Dallas area, your truck is worth about $26,000. If you are trading at a dealer, subtract about $5,000 from that. Your add-ons may be nice, but will most likely only get you a higher price with a select buyer.
