Page 23 reminder that this is a thread about the FIRST, FOURTH, AND ELEVENTH OIL CHANGES as noted in the title about NEW AND USED Tacomas.

The first detailed post includes a lab analysis of metal levels that are 2000000x higher than at subsequent oil changes even after 1O0k miles only at 30 miles, corroborated by others at 600, and 700 miles.

Subsequent OCI. Are not the purpose here. 1O0k seems fine both based on plenty full of other lab analyses.

let me repeat since reading comprehension is still lacking.

FIRST, FOURTEENTH, AND TWENTY SECOND OIL CHANGE

Nice bump. Overall I think it’s a success you got 23 pages that’s pretty good.

Why would anyone want your shitty oil that you don’t think is good enough to be in your truck? And you think oil not getting hot is considered extreme use? Are you messing with me? I feel like your messing with me.

    I don’t follow the logic

People buy used all the time, cars, parts, houses, spouses, camping equipment, farm machinery, etc

I could be a customer for dudes gently used oil if the price is right

Sure why not. Just because I’m not into it doesn’t mean it’s a bad idea. The only used oil I’ve ever pursued was for my old bosses oil heater. He burned it to heat his shop. The problem we ran into was people always putting other shit into it like fuel or coolant.

I got my oil analysis back today. It is really pretty much the same as the OP's that he posted high metals and high silicon from it being a new engine. No other problems found with it otherwise. I'm happy I changed the oil when I did to help wash all that out sooner. Screenshot_20210223-171136.jpg

    Nice, thanks for sharing.

I’m a bit confused on molybdenum. It’s about 7 times more than the averages. Does that mean they add extra moly at the factory to help break in the engine and changing it early may not be such a great idea then?

my plan is to get it done at 5k as well. Sticker they stuck on the windshield says next service at 5k. My service guy already stated an oil change is not included. Need to find something to push back on this with.

Could be from a moly based lube they use during assembly.

by next service it means tire rotation. Not oil change. Oil is every 10k.

I think that may be a good guess at why moly is so very Hi. Moly is in motor oil too. Some brands more than others.
