Hand shaped some turndowns to fit the curves of the 4-1 collectors and got them welded on. Had to put the fenders back on to make sure that everything cleared.

Decided to use the leftover skin pieces from the back wall to skin over the side where the door is. Took me over an hour to get the door out. The butyl that I used had a really good bite.
I probably should have waited, this kidney stone is kicking my butt at the moment.

All that's left on the new paneling is to seal the edge of the kick panel, seal the edge above the door, remove/clean/reinstall the screws, and make something to go over where the door holder is.

Update. Not much to update. Between kidney stones, and back getting worse, I haven't done much. I just ordered a set of Richmond 4.56 gears on Amazon for the '40. Not the ratio I plan to use, but it was mispriced at $57.01 instead of $230.49 that it is now.

Working on the bathroom in the trailer. Been thinking about a medicine cabinet and/or shelves in the wall for small storage and a mirror.
Found this stainless paper towel dispenser at the local building materials reclaim shop. Cost me a whole $3. I am going cut out the dispenser opening and some shelves in it (probably go back to see if they have another one or different model that I can salvage the material from), then polish the door to a mirror.

Still need to cut the FRP panel to fit, but the backer is cut to size and the cabinet studs are in place. It won't get permanently installed until the toilet and it's vent are installed (just easier to install the pipe when I have access behind the wall). The access panel is to have access to the water heater and furnace gas lines along with additional access to the water pump and plumbing. I did have to add 1/4" strips to the studs to get up to the 4" wall thickness needed for the cabinet to fit. Thankfully, it wasn't unexpected and I had plenty of remnants to do it.

I once saw a 5.7 Tundra supercharger listed for $165. I should have bought it.

Officially the most expensive toilet I've ever purchased.... Natures Head. Should be here in about 3 weeks.

Cut the FRP to size. Waiting for the 12v outlet to get here to figure out where it goes.

I also picked up two more of the paper towel dispensers to cut up for making shelves in the one I am using.

Interesting day. Went hunting for parts for the trailer. Picked up a NIB Furrion DV1220-BL for $100, a crank open RV window for the kitchen for $120, and a couple of water tanks to put in the bed of the truck so I don't have to haul the trailer to get more water.
On the way back, came upon a 2 car wreck right after the vehicles came to a stop. One crossed lanes, the second was able to almost avoid and ended with a couple scratches on the bumper but a freaked out driver.
The first was worse. From everything I could gather, the driver loss consciousness before crossing over (no memory of the wreck or leading up to it and was just released from the hospital prior to wreck), went off into the ditch, took out an old power pole and 4 dead power lines, bounced a tire off the RR tracks before coming to a stop facing down the ditch with the dead power lines on the front of the vehicle.
Checked on him and made sure he didn't move til a nurse stopped then the ambulance got there. Me and another guy did traffic control (2 lane heavily used road) while the ambulance and second vehicle were blocking one lane til the cops showed up to handle traffic.

No, trailer. Got it NIB for $100. I still need to get speakers.

Cut a hole in the kitchen wall, then put a window in it.

Assembly is too thick for my wall. So, I need to either find or make a flat interior trim ring. I used some 1/2" round foam to fill the gap and the compression of the foam keeps everything tight. Not the ideal setup, but it works.

An issue that I had was with the bathroom door. Because I had to cut it down so much, the dowels (reduced size of top and bottom dowels by about 80%) and glue didn't hold. So, the doors spread and the louvers fell out. Having issues getting 3/4×1/2 aluminum angle to frame the doors with. Instead, I got some flat corner brackets. They should work, especially since I put brackets on all corners on both sides.
    IMG_20200807_151757.jpg
I am still trying to decide on the bathroom lighing. The strip I used isn't bright enough, is too blue (doesn't show well in picture but it is definitely bluish), and the POS wire burned instead of accepting solder even though the ground wire soldered perfectly without burning. Maybe it was CCA? I'll move it to be a closet light.

Took the morning to rebuild the firewood rack. Used the leftover expanded steel from the tractor grill.

Took the rear end out of the car today and dropped the housing off for sandblasting and powder coating (just black, nothing special. Will paint angry face on it in red). Pulled the third member apart and cleaned the carrier in gas after taking the spider gears out, now it is clean enough to handle with bare hands without gloves.
Pulled the new pinion out of the box and started getting the new bearings and shims ready to take up to the shop to r&r.

Everything looked good with all the Timken bearings being correct. Then, I checked the shims. Not good. The freaking pinion shims are undersized and one is rusty. Are you freaking kidding me. I spent $130 on this set and the shims are wrong?
Yes, I could ream or file them out. But, I shouldn't have to fix Richmond parts to fit Richmond gears.
I thought maybe my good deal on the gears was for a reason. Nope, put calipers on the pinion shaft where the shims go and it was dead on where it should be. I'm calling Summit in the morning to get the return shipping fee waived and I will order from Cass (DoctorDiff).
