Maybe trading off my 2nd Gen Tacoma

As you guys know, I love Toyotas and especially Tacomas as I have owned Toyota trucks back to the 1980s. Last Tacoma I bought was my first 4x4 in a long time and am now seriously thinking about trading to a Honda Ridgeline.

I never go off road so a true 4x4 is just extra weight to me and the "out of balance drive shafts" have kinda pushed me over the edge.

My wife took her Honda in today for service and after a lot of negotiating, I got some pricing as follows.

Loaded RTL Ridgeline w/ Nav. sunroof, premium sound w/Sirius-XM, dual zone A/C, heated leather seats, big OEM, color matched, body side moldings, & etc.

    (1) USAA Price = MSRP = $38,800.00 - $4,500.00 off MSRP = $34,300.00 + $550.00 dealer fees + $100.00 tag, title, lemon law & etc paperwork + tax trade in difference of maybe $450.00. = $35,400.00 OTD (approx.)

    (2) RTL loaded w/o Nav = $33,200.00 OTD

TRADE IN = 2012 Tacoma D/C TRD O/R 4x4 w/ Entune -Nav, tow pkg., almost new Michelin LTX-MS2s ... 12,500 miles and super cherry (like showroom) = $29,000.00 and this is about "KBB Excellent Trade In" .....

If I do trade .... I will probably let the Honda dealer do the service .... .....but I will stay on this forum most of the time .... because of the people and energy here .... :)

Tomorrow is the day for a "Maybe Change" .... ....

PS .... If I do trade .... I will have a a few good things to get together and sell .... i.e. ...full set of perfect Wet Okles (front seats covers still in the box) for a double cab in gray and a dozen TRD & OEM oil filters and oil plug washers, bed mats & etc.

I will keep you posted on what I do .... ....

Ironic, he fights for our freedom, we offer him none.

Test drive it, check the resale values and longer term reliability. Hopefully it works for ya. ..... but think of your poor Tacoma, its like a pet, would you just send your dog to the humane society.:D

Yeah right......you can't talk about trading in your Tacoma for Ridgeline and not expect some backlash on here.

Dude you need to read your post and realize that a ridgeline will get your ass kicked in the corp. Plus the Tacoma is better in every single way and if you did get a minivan with a bed we give you crap every time you posted lol
