Ridgeline is the new yuppie Minivan.

I saw a lifted on a while back, the owner was telling me he could go anywhere a Jeep or Tacoma could, all I could do was smile and nod. I want to see a Ridgeline flex

I went the other way. I traded a Ridgeline for my Taco. However, I would love to see what the Honda engineers could do with a Taco.

I like how OP has not posted anywhere since. To each his own, but as much shit talk about Ridgelines, he had to expect some ball busting. If your still reading OP, its all in good fun (mostly) do what's best for you and yours.

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
    .
I traded the Tacoma on a Ridgeline ... and having owned many Toyota trucks, including 4 different Gen 2 Tacomas, it was a big change. My last taco was a 4x4 and I didn't need it because my days of off roading are over.

But, I was surprised at the "dog pack syndrome" and some of the comments and the lack of maturity of some of the posts ... but this is the internet and I guess some posters feel more empowered than normal when on this site.

Rarely keeping a vehicle more than a year and having traded sometimes several times in one year and having owned at least 100 new vehicles in my lifetime ... Tacomas were at the top of my list.

For you "little cheeezze diques" that called me a troll ... I have to laugh at you ... since some of my retirement comes indirectly from Toyota and I have put a lot of profit in Toyota Corp. pockets and probably owned more Toyotas than you are in years old. ... :)

Have had great experiences with almost all of my Toyotas except for a few small problems and when a big problem arose on a 2007 Tundra (transmission died at 500 miles) Toyota Corp. took excellent care of me ... much, much better than most US companies would have. :)

I was ready for a change and the Ridgeline was an excellent choice for that change as I did NOT need an off road vehicle. I wanted a more "Subaru-ish Type Vehicle With A Pick-up Type Bed" and the Ridgeline fit the bill. Good traction in the rain and light snow at southern ski areas was important.

Took the new Ridgeline to No. Myrtle Beach (800 miles R/T) and it was flawless with same gas mileage and pep as my Tacoma V-6 4x4. My 2012 Tacoma DC/SB, TRD OR had a intermittent vibration in the drivelines that drove me nuts at times. The G/Ms at 2 Toyota dealerships told me "this is hard problem to fix 100% at this point".

I will probably get another Tacoma (no beta models, i.e. 1st 2 years production ever again with any manufacturer) .... meaning maybe a 2017 Taco and I want a S/Ced 4x2, automatic if they have them available and are not too bulky or large.

Because I have had 4 - Gen 2 Tacomas ... (2 of my Gen 2 Tacos are with members on this forum :)) ... I have a ton of extra stuff for them ... some of it never installed .... i.e. Gray W/Os full set for a D/Cab ... super looking aluminum tailgate cover from Rentless (never installed) ... Weathertech Mats ... WeatherTech Visors ... TRD & OEM oil filters ... almost new 4 set OEM BFG 265-70-16 tires ... extra complete Entune/JBL system w/ speakers & sub ... fancy aluminum drop hitch and 5 extra chrome balls (all never used) ... and other stuff. Extra set (5 tires) Michelin LTX - AT2s (nibs & stickers still on tires).

I will get all this stuff together in the next few weeks, photo it and post it here.

Now .... a special note to my "special little raisin nut - cheezzee dique" ... who took cheap shots at my military service & U.S. Marines (and then erased it) .... I actually feel sorry for you bud ... your mama should have "switched your azz" when you were a little chit and taught you some respect for the U.S. military ...

And finally to all my other "Misc. Little Punk Buddies" who posted chit about my new ride ... ... I really dont give a Rat's azzz ... :D

Have a good day gentleman ... see you guys later ... :D

PS ... Ahhh ... and to the ladies who are always polite ... I salute you all on your brains & class ... :D

PPS ... To those who posted informative info. on the vehicles ... I think you very much ... :)

I'd have kept the Taco, but to each their own. Good luck, dude. Hope the Ridgeline works out. I kinda like how they look, but I don't think I'd ever own one. But it's a Honda, so it must be good.

^ Thats a cool Ridgeline. I'd do it, but I'd have to always have the matching dirt bike in the back at all times!

Maybe I'll just get the bike. . .
