My parents own a 2011. I guess it does seem sluggish sometimes but they really like it. It's got a really nice interior. And we have the FWD, which gets about 22 mpg, not bad.

Also I'm fairly certain it has the same engine/tranny as the Ridgeline

    Exactly!

    What's 800 bucks every 100k when I spend 1300 on tires every 50k?

Again, I have no issues.. but these issues are posted DAILY by multiple Tacoma drivers and are reinforced by masses of other owners with the same problems that either go unresolved OR the part is replaced with aftermarket parts, which doesn't often solve the initial problem to begin with.

If you think a Ridgeline sucks because of a 100k mile maintenance interval, then I guess I'll leave it at that.

I've heard reviewers mention brakes being iffy. The 3 I test drove were fine but not great. So that one might be situational.

Much better. 5 tanks of gas every 100k isn't something most would notice.

    Wet Okole's cost more.

You are correct Tacoyota . . . it should have been a 4x4 Taco.

The Pilot's are nice, I test drove one & it had lots of room inside. If it were not for my Tacoma & LOVING it so much I'd have a Pilot!

I didn't say anything to indicate a Ridgeline sucks.

Heliopilot did not say he had problems with his Tacoma, just that he was thinking about getting a Honda. He will be paying more in fuel and if he doesn't currently have a timing belt he will have to pay to change it in the new vehicle. That is all.

If he is trading for the sake of trading, I would keep the Tacoma. I looked at the Ridgeline and the only thing I liked about it was the automatic sliding rear window.

Tacoma V6 has a timing belt, correct? 4 cylinder is a chain.

This thread is so full of

Maybe the OP wants to get a Ridgeline because he's sick and tired of all the immature idiots that seem to be driving Tacoma's these days.

To the yahoo who said the Ridgeline's resale value is going to be crap because it's discontinued, I guess all those FJ drivers are up the creek too huh

Some people need to read more and talk out their butts less.

The family drives a civic '09, accord, '06, and a crv '08, which has been smashed up pretty good, still drove all caved in the middle, utility pole.

Never once while at the Honda dealer did I look at a ridgeline.

It's all for naught anyway, OPs last post confirmed that he thinks we're acting like children and I'm sure he's living the good life at some mature Ridgeline owners forum where they talk sensibly about why they like their car. Not about why other cars suck and people who drive them are either gay, stupid, or wear pink shirts with popped collars.

I would be that Yahoo I suppose. Talking out my ass?? Nope. Resale value "Will" drop believe it or not. Almost ANY vehicle that is discontinued will drop in value. Supply and demand. If the supply isn't there, there will be no demand (not that there was much demand for the Ridgeline anyway).

I still think this thread is a total troll.
