Does anyone on here know or are currently running these wheels on there 3rd Gen ? I just bought a set from TDot performance here in Canada and they basically told me not to go with a -12 offset because they are a really aggressive wheel. They are trying to lean me towards a 0 offset because the -12 stick out too far. I’m all for the wheels sticking out a bit. So I’m just wondering if anyone can help me.. with some pictures or any info on these particular wheels. Thanks.

I am running Raceline Clutch 934G in 17x9 with the -12 offset wrapped in 285 70 R17. IMO the more aggressive looks much better, but you will need to do the CMC as well as trim some plastic and hammer the pinch weld. No big deal, tons of people do it.

You won’t have to do the chop unless you buy larger tires.

You will have minor rubbing.. I did with my Ko2s. They rubbed on the upper control arms. So I bought 1inch and a quarter wheel spacers. No rubbing at full turn or anything. And they give the truck a good look. There my winter wheels.. they have a sidewall of 65 but I wanted the 70 couldn’t get them in where i got the tires through. And my lift is the 3inch ready lift.

I had -12mm 17x9’s and while the would balance on the machine but the steering wheel shook and wobbled like a mother.

Had Road force balanced and only made it a hair better.

Called the manufacturer and they said the -12mm offset acted like a fulcrum and that I would probably have to get beefed up wheel bearings to fix the problem. They couldn’t answer why they actually made the wheels (Toyota specific bore) if this was the case. Had I had this info when I looking for wheels I would have made a different choice. I ended up buying the TRD SEMAs and used the same tires and all is now smooth as butter.

So I’m really hoping the 295 70 18s will fit I know eventually I’ll have to do the cmc chop. At least that’s what people are telling me.

    yeah you'll probably have to.
Dam i was hoping they wouldn't rub. Like stock tires are 265/65/17 but guys say you can go 265/70/17 with no lift. So wouldn't you think you can go up one size from there if your lifting it 2 inches?

Now your k02's are 285. Mine will still be 265. you still think they will rub?

This info helps a lot. So the wheels your currently running what offset are they? The guys at mayhem recommend that I go with the 0 offset wheels because the -12mm is too aggressive plus i would loose functionality if I go with the -12mm. Can you send me a pic of what your running now ? Because I do want a wheel to have that aggressive look but with functionality.

Ok well just from my personal experience. Im running the 285 65 18 right now. When I first put them on the truck I had aftermarket rims, I’m unsure of the offset on the wheels. All I know is that there rtx off-road don’t know if that matters or not as far as the rubbing went on the upper control arms. But you literally couldn’t put your hands in behind the side wall of the tire and between the upper control arm. Because they slightly rubbed at full turn and in reverse. Wish I could have gotten a picture from before and after the wheel spacers on how big off a difference that they made. I also had to cut the front under piece the plastic guard as you probably know already. But I’ll be taking that off with the other tires anyways. So 285 65 18 is maximum tire size I would go with. But there’s tons of room to fit taller tires just no more than a 70 wide tire with the current lift on the truck now that could possibly differ with yours though.. hope this helps ?

ya like going 70/18 will give me a bit taller but wont be as wide. Also when I put different sizes in the tire calculator just changing the tire width actually changed the tire height a little which i didn't know it would.
the new tires would be roughly 32 5/8"
