How do ya like turn down? Loud? Good clearance? More pics, and in-cab sound please!

Is the turn down tip a separate part?

I have the full length version of this same system.

Well.. what is your experience??? Lol
All I see is a picture. How does it sound? How much louder than stock?
I was thinking about picking this up instead of chopping my OEM

Well I posted b/c I couldnt find any Threads. I know people have posted about the cat back but not the Drop Down one. I tried Installing myself on my Access Cab, but it seems like I have to cut into the pipe to make it fit on the clamps. Will be doing that tomorrow. Ill have an update soon

Its a great exhaust I have the full length one. If you go on mbrp's website i believe they tell you how much you have to cut off based on your wheelbase.

It’s the length difference in wheelbase! It’s 13.3”.

Thats going to be loud and drony I believe since it drops before the axle. Usually its a good idea to drop after the axle to get the goose neck to prevent water to enter the muffler if you ever crossed water.

I chopped the stock exhaust after the axle for this reason. My MBRP is coming in the mail today. Debating whether or not I should chop it too...

Just a follow up, I installed the exhaust at home. Had to cut about 13 inches to make it fit. I felt like the included clamps weren't enough or maybe its my ocd. Theres is noticable drone inside the truck as im driving higher speeds. Its bothering me a little at the moment but im going to leave it as is. Theres Defiantly a difference in sound from stock and i feel as if the truck shifts smoother with an aftermarket exhaust. My only downfall is the damn drone. Ima have a shop check the taco out for proper fitment or leak issues. Im thinking of having them weld the whole thing as well, and possibly running the exhaust all the way to the back. I know..... I should of just bought a full sized one

Yup I have the full size and only needed about an inch cut off. Slight drone when your on the gas but it does die off some when just maintaining speed.

full length one drones too, its hard to get away from it with a free flow muffler. I've never heard the turndown version so i cant tell you weather or not it is louder than the full lenght version, but it does drone too, I have it on mine. hope that helps

Installing a full length when I get it back from the dealer (hopefully soon). Anything we can do to dampen it? A lot of people claim that the higher cost exhausts (like magnaflow) don't have a droning problem.
