Thinking about getting this. The instructions don't specify anything to signify how tight the bolts need to be so I'm curious. Do you just tighten until you can't?

Since we're here.. Anyone own/have thoughts on the exhaust? Looking to make it easier to mount a larger spare and get some nice sound.

Nobody knows how tight the bolts need to be? Do I need to jack the truck up to remove the existing exhaust?

I've read that some exhaust spring bolts have a shoulder that forces a stopping point, do we have those?

For anybody looking for answers about this in the future, here's some info.

    1) while I did not locate a torque spec anywhere I can confirm that the nuts are welded to the y pipe. I put a jack under the flanges and just went to town on the bolts. Very hard to get going but once one thread was down you could do it by hand.

    2) I had much more trouble getting the stock exhaust off than putting the mbrp on. Use that for motivation.

    3) the mbrp install guide doesn't really specify how the front pipe is oriented. It ended up being the same as the diagram, in which the lower point of the front pipe connects to the y. I know this sounds logical but the diagram was incorrect on other portions so I didn't really trust it.

    4) most of the bolts can be manipulated with a 9/16 socket/wrench. The bolts are definetly metric, so a 14mm would do better but I didn't have one on me.

The exhaust sounds great, and my neighbor hates it. Two birds with one stone. Worth the effort.

for aftermarket stuff, they usually dont have torque specs. I use the german rule of "gud en tite" with some blue loctite, and maybe even a 1/4 turn more.
