MC shifter bushing didn’t fix it

2014 Tacoma, spruce mica

So first gear pops out on my 94 4x4 as soon as you get the clutch out, can’t even hold it in by hand. I replaced the bushing and cap with the ones from Marlin Crawler, bolted everything back up, eased out on the clutch and first still pops out. Tried searching to see if anyone else has been through this, but I just find threads about the bushing being the miracle cure. Getting real tired of starting in second. Anyone have any ideas before I start shopping for a used trans or a rebuild kit?
