Well the world tour of smack talking is over and the fight is a few weeks out.... Anyone making any bets?

I'll say someone's getting knocked out for sure. Either McGregor gets that 1% lucky punchers chance shot in, or most likely Mayweather will finish a gassed out McGregor.

I don't follow either sport closely, but I have been somewhat of a fan of McGregor for awhile. I feel like he actually has a chance. Not sure how good of a chance it is but I think it might be a little better than some are giving him. I just don't think Floyd can hurt him. And if he does catch Floyd, then he might be in trouble. I think he knows he can't go technique for technique with Floyd and out-point him. The whole dynamic of this match is unusual so it might be a little tougher for Floyd than ppl think. But I could also likely be dead wrong and he loses horribly lol.

Both annoy me, but that little douche will win... Mayweather; because he has Bieber on his side jerking him off.

Mayweather. He's not going to give McGregor the chance to hit him hard, and in boxing that's all there is too it: control the match. This isn't a fight, it's boxing. In a fight/the octagon, it'd be McGregor all day.

Conor is younger. They both are dangerous.

Ya in general I agree with you. But that was sorta what I was referring to earlier. Everyone else who faced FLoyd was looking to beat him in a boxing match. I almost feel like Connor knows he isn't going in there to go the long haul with the guy or match his technique. I almost feel like he's planning to find a way to get the opportunity to catch Floyd. He might not get it, but then again that's his best chance of winning. And I feel like if he has to get tagged a bit in the process, he's confident that Floyd won't hurt him. I dunno, as this stuff isn't exactly my area of expertise lol, but I just think Connors approach is something Floyd has never encountered, so it might also take him out of his element a bit as well. Just another view, but I totally get how everyone thinks Floyd is just going to own him. I just feel like it's different and might not end up that way. But we will see.

It would be the greatest upset in sports history. Mayweather has been boxing since he was 5 years old, champion in 5 different weight classes, faced some of the greatest of all time. He's faced the hardest hitters in the sport, dudes who will put a hole in your skull. You can't argue with Mayweathers record and everything he has accomplished.

But hey he's older and slower now. Conor is a dangerous dude. IF he can touch mayweather, he might have a chance. Some of the greatest boxers in the sport weren't able to land clean shots on Mayweather. The angles in boxing are different than the ones in MMA. It will be interesting to see though. I want to see Mcgregor win.

I just hope Mcgregor doesn't make a joke of boxing by kicking or attempting a take down. I can see heat of the moment, Mcgregor does something he has been trained to do all his life.

I know what you mean but with the stakes so high, the entire world watching, and the contractual agreements that go into everything, I don't think he'd be willing to risk his $100 million dollar pay day.

But really, what happens in boxing if you hip check someone or lift your leg for a fake? All subtle, close quarters. I'm assuming multiple warnings and point deductions. You've seen professional boxers get frustrated with Mayweather by headbutting him and etc.

This was UFC back in the days, take a professional brawler vs a professional karate and go at it. Today, UFC is basically the same molded fighters with certain focus on what they like, which seems to be boxing the last couple of years.

Yeah you're right, probably automatic deductions and if he actually kicks Floyd the match will probably be over. Would be hilarious to see mcgregor crack mayweather in the head with a kick though and knock him out lmao. Won't happen though.

I was watching an interview with John McCarthy the UFC ref and he said MMA is getting to the point where everyone coming in has mastered Jujitsu and Muay Thai ect. Now it's getting to the point where what matters more than skill is who the better athlete is.

I wouldn't mind if McGregor accidentally merc'd Mayweather with a head kick.

The only loser in this match is anyone that's dumb enough to pay to watch it. But at least we'll finally answer the question of who the best boxer is....one of the greatest of all time, or somebody else.

FYI it's not even going to be close

I'm perplexed that so many picked McGregor. Look, I don't like Mayweather as a person or as a fan, but I've watched all of his fights for past 12 years or so. The guy is on a different level when it comes to hitting and not being hit. I like Connor as a fighter and I enjoy watching him in the UFC but this is like putting Serena Williams up against Tiger Woods on a golf course. It's not even going to be remotely close. Serious question, did any of you who voted for Connor see Mayweather fight Pacquiao, Cotto, Canelo, Berto, Hatton, Mosley, Marquez etc? He makes the other best boxers in the world look like amatures. Now that he's actually fighting a guy who has never been a professional boxer. I honestly do not expect McGregor to land more than five punches in the entire bout.

Hmmm, which arrogant, whiney baby do I want to get knocked out first?

Too bad they can't simultaneously punch each other in the head and both die.

    Damn.

It doesn't matter. Chael Sonnen picked Mayweather - so McGregor has this in the bag
