    hi this is a new member and now i have a bran new 2017 sr5 tacoma the question i have is this i traded in my 2003 tacoma and that found that the fram did not pass i got this truck off my brother and in 2010 he had the truck looked at at dealer and thay removed the rust and rust proofed the fram i did not know at time my brother did the recall till i seen him later he gave me the work order from the dealer and the dealer only gave me 1200 for trad the promblem is that the same dealed i got my 2017 at is the same dealed that did the recall do thay ow me more money its only been 7 years i think thay shuld have replaced fram back in 2010 what do u think do i have a case

    You made the deal. You should have walked away instead of accepting a $1,200 trade, then dealt with the frame issue that 'devalued' the truck.

    You probably could have parted out the truck for more than that. Of course you don't tell us anything about the rest of it's condition, so we don't really know if you had a clap trap or a gem.

    Regardless, the frame issue should have been addressed while you still owned the truck. It's not yours now.

    I do feel you may have been taken advantage of. However, it's quite unlikely you have any legal recourse. Maybe if your town has investigative news reporters? They like stories that get down on big companies taking advantage of the little guy. It would be free and might get you some form of goodwill compensation.

    And please, try using at least some punctuation to help others avoid painful reading.

    You might have exceeded the statute of limitations which is usually 4 years for cases like this. You may want to do a quick search on the rules of that before you spend any more time or energy trying to recover the difference.
