When I installed my Relentless Fab Predator on my 2013 Tacoma I broke a few tabs holding on the fender flare. Recently on the interstate my temporary fix gave loose and the fender came off. I would have gone back to get it but it decided to go under my wheels when it came off and I ran over it, destroying it. Loads of fun. Now I am considering what to do next to remedy this. I think the McNeil 4" fenders are super cool and I want to get them for the front and rear to match but I run a ARE bed cap that I want to keep. I see that the top lip of the bed is significantly wider so I do not think that the bed cap will fit. I have read that you can modify the shell or make a new bed rail bracket to make the two work together but I haven't seen any pictures of what exactly needs to be done.

Don't have a definitive answer for you but I did find this pic after a quick google search. Captiuon says 2014 tacoma with NeNeil fenders and it clearly shows the cap on it. I'll try to find more pics of it

I appreciate the picture. I have seen a few so I know its doable but I haven't found any pictures on how exactly to get it done.

I found this video where the guy made his own bed rail type deal but I want to avoid drilling holes for the threaded rods he has coming up. I am curious if I can do that but keep the bed rail attachment method that it has currently. The goal is not to make any permanent changes in case I need to sell anything.

Does your ARE extend over the side of the bed or sit flush. I know My leer extends over the bed rail so i'd assume it wouldn't work at all on a bed rail with a wider base the shell sits on. I know some shells just sit on top of the rail flush.

edit: Looks like in the video you posted, that guy cut the lip off his shell to make it sit flush.

I'd assume after you cut the lip off the shell like he did, you could just use the clamp style mounts to mount it to the inside without drilling any holes at all. This is all under the assumption you can keep the inside rail with the use of the McNeil fenders.

Are caps have a lip to go past bed top, unless it’s a commercial cap
