Ham would be king if it weren't for the licence thing

 

2 meter, FM ham radios will always come through clearer than an AM CB. And honesty, the Ham radio liscense isn't that hard to get. If you slept through a high school physics class, you can pass the technician exam. And it's a whopping 15 bucks, if that, for the liscense which is good for 10 years. Pick up a $20 baofeng and throw a $8 upgraded antenna and you've got a good trail riding setup for less than the cost of a CB install

 

I studied for like 6 hours for the license exam and only missed 2 questions, and I missed those 2 questions because I didn't read the full question. I honestly didn't need to study that long, but I didn't want to take a chance of failing either.

For anyone who wants to do it, there are plenty of apps and websites with study material. Its really not a hard process.

I did manage to convince him to stay for the two obstacles we did before we left. This put us back in Frederick, where his car was parked, by 5:30. So,m he made it to Baltimore with a few minutes to spare.
