    Wow,

I learned about this last night before going to bed and after talking with a friend who was injured, he told me he was in the damage path with his friends and 4 of them died. It seems so surreal that this could happen, but deep down inside I felt that something like this was going to go wrong, especially at rock pile because of how many people it attracts. I hope this sport isn't going to be affected by this and nobody is put to blame.

I'm still in shock and was lucky I wasn't there to witness it as a lot of friends I knew are an udder mess by seeing the aftermath and also being part of the accident.

Jus read on facebook that Blm announced that the m.o.r.e race is still on

on a side note, I think the MDR California 200 should be renamed the MDR Memorial 200 in the future

Just to clarify, I would hope some rules are changed to better secure a safer view for spectators as rally racing has done, but nothing to ruin it for us spectators and future racers.

I didnt realize it either until I read about him but Sloppy is only 18. Poor guy. I feel bad for him... Hes gotta live with that for the rest of his life. :( wonder if he will ever get back in the truck again?

Hopefully he will and race in memory and honor of those lost. It was an accident plain and simple.

    4x4 OFF-ROAD... that is all I need...
It wasn't the driver's fault that a bunch of stupid drunk mofos were so damn close to the track... he's going to live with that guilt the rest of his life... I feel worse for him than any of those retards that were so damn close to the landing area after the "jump"...

BTW, there's an awesome spot on the 101 fwy where you can watch drivers go over 100 mph around 2am on Thursday nights! It's between the 170/101 freeway interchange and the 405/101 freeway interchange! The best seat is on the freeway median between the 2 carpool lanes... WOO HOO! Bring the keg! I'll reserve the spot...:headbang::cheers::headbang::woot:

Joe is entitled to his opinion...

it definitely was not wise to be posted up at the bottom of a jump, but i wouldn't categorize the group down there as stupid or drunk...

there was a bit of inexperience and naivete but they were hardly stupid people...

He probably would have that assumption based on that picture....

I mean a girl holding a beer and a beer bong 25 feet from a truck probably traveling in excess of 65 MPH...

Not exactly a good marketing picture.

true, although, the story behind that picture is she is further up away from the jump than our campsite, and i believe this was shot prior to the race start...

    although she WAS pretty trashed
