Sometimes when I unlock my '09 TRD I get 4 beeps (I think its 4) instead of the usual two-beep tone. Does this mean anything that I should be aware of? I'm not pushing the button twice.
    Thanks

Sounds like the shock sensor set off a warning earlier.... Maybe its sensitive, and someone parked next to u set off the shock warning when they closed their door?

Try this when its not late at night......
Set ur alarm, bump the truck with ur hip/hand, and see if u can get the alarm to sound a warning chirp....

Then, after a few seconds (assuming u didn't set alarm off completely) disarm the system with ur key fob.... Is that the same 4 chirps?

If not, then try the same test but this time make the alarm go off...... If u can, before u do this, stuff a rag in the alarm siren. Let the alarm shut off by itself.....

Then disarm it via the key fob...... Any different?

Sorry not the answer ur were looking for, but I had the stock system replaced the week I bought the truck, so I'm just assuming it was the shock sensor.

thanks for the reply, but there is no alarm on the truck that I am aware of....just a key fob for the locks...
I thought maybe its a warning for a low battery or something?:notsure:

Bummer.... Well consider it a free bump I guess, and I'm sure more will chime in later.
