Been a mechanic my whole life. Started out working on golf cars, then motorcycles. Went to diesel school, worked on trucks and lift trucks. Even did a short stint in an office...that just wasn't me.
Then one day SuperTrapp/Kerker ( a motorcycle exhaust manufacturer come to town) wound up in R&D designing and testing systems.
That changed my life...getting paid to do that work was a dream come true.

Like most here, been turning nuts and bolts my whole life, i knew early on I didnt want to wrench my whole life, now I'm 15 years into being a garage truck mechanic, im a lead mechanic now. I think this is a great position, little bit of wrenching, paper pushing and scheduling.

Had a second interview today in a very specialized field not related to automotive at all.
I have no experience but with my tech background, they are overlooking that.

At first I'll be doing in house inspections, then I go into the field to do inspections/maintenance.

I have to give them a call Monday with a Yes or No.

The way the automotive industry is going, I don't think I want to do this anymore. I am 29 but no idea which direction to go. Thinking about welding but I have no idea
