They're pre drill holes under the weather strip. I put a bolt through a piece of pipe so the pipe would hold the brackets for the rack, and then the bolt through a washer, through the pipe, would attach to the roof. Throw some silicon around it to keep it from leaking.

 

Wasn't sure if the support brackets on the rack tied right into those holes or not. I guess not.

Not really. Snap a pic of just the mount area and the brackets whenever you can. No hurry

 

Not mine but looks something like this. Bolt is going through the rack, down through the L Brackets, through the pipe to hide the bolt, to the pre drilled roof hole. I can grab the rack and move my truck with it without the rack moving at all. It's not going anywhere.

Yes they are. They were hard to find too. Mine barely misses the top of the cab because Lowes didn't have the bolt length but had a quarter inch off of it that I could barely use to get threaded.

26 - 1/4" - 20 x 1.5" truss head stainless steel bolts. (5 packages of 6) $5.64 = 28.20
26 - 1/4" x 3/4' washers (Zink coated steel) $1.88 total = 1.88
26 - 1/4" Nylon Lock Nuts (stainless steel) (7 Packages of 4) $1.95 = 13.65
2 - Aluminum 2.5in x 6ft long x 1/8in sheet. $12.00ea (side panels for decoration, optional) = 24.00

Took the 32" single row light bar off the Rzr before I sold it, going to throw it on the Tacoma. Up top on the roof rack or mount it below in the lower valance? What's your vote so I can do the opposite!?

Trim 2.5" off them and redrill holes for the light to mount. Unless you want to cut out the valance plastic

 

Yeah I know it works better and I have enough glare from the pods on my hood that I don't need anymore glare. I just cant look bro enough if I hide it in the valance!

 

$30 for brackets I think i'll rig up something from the roofing section in Lowes to make me some! I'm cheap though.
