I actually joined Tacoma World in May but I have just gotten my 17 Tacoma to the point that I would like to show it off. It is a Barcelona Red SR. I went cheap and upgraded. I just wanted a base truck that doesn't look like a base truck. Never cared for or needed any of the stuff they stick on these things now.
Up grades include a TRD grill and Tacoma door emblems which came from other Tacoma World members in Arizona and Pennsylvania. (thank You) and I just installed 16 x 8 Ion Alloy Wheels on raised letter Cooper tires. The tires are a size larger than the stock ones and I also installed Bora 1" wheel adapters. I'm lucking out and not having to cut anything for clearance.
I am still looking to add Limited fog lights and chrome bezels and stainless bed rails. I am working on some ideas as well to build bike racks utilizing the side tracks inside the bed. Probably will leave it alone after that. This truck is a driver. I have a 65 Ford Galaxie 500 that use for car shows and cruises. Toymater 009.jpg Toymater 007.jpg

Took Toymater in for its recall on the possible rear end leak. Was told it was fine and that my dealership had only seen 1 Tacoma come in with a rear end leak since recall was issued. Doesn't sound as bad as the news was making it out to be. Got a lot nice comments about the changes I had made to Toymater and dealer could not believe I was driving a base SR. The service manager even had others at the dealership come out and see Toymater. That was cool.

Nice whip! I like the base models as well, especially when they look like yours! Perfect color, btw!

    Thanks!
Have a warning for everyone running wheel adapters.
The major tire chain where I bought my tires and mounted the rims in May told me that I needed to install spacers for clearance with my calipers. They offered to get them for me and install them but I passed because I knew Bora and Spydertraxx were the best you can get and opted for those.
I took my truck back to replace a wheel weight that fell off and they refused to service my truck now because I had wheel spacers. I'm still trying to figure that one out. They did give me the weights to replace the one that fell off. Nice.
They are not off the hook because I run the stock wheels in the winter and my warranty covers lifetime balancing. Ill take them in while they are off the truck.
