Melted loom under engine cover?

    Changing my oil today and took off the engine cover to clean under it/inspect as I usually do and noticed a few things:
    • A chunk of the white liner on the cover was missing... I was thinking mice at this point...
    • The missing liner had fallen down into the cavity and was on top of a damaged engine harness loom
    It doesn’t look like the loomed melted so much as disintegrated. Anyone ever run into something like this? Seems like I’ll have to take good chunk of the intake system apart to get to it.

    Yep, looks chewed to me. Since they chewed on the liner I'm going with they chewed on the harness.
