No shit man... And thanks :)

For all others, the JAFR is now Boosted! :yay: Initial review is that I didn't have as much power as I expected I would. Take into account that I am rolling on 33" mud tires too. Also, there is absolutely crazy amounts of wind here today which made it really hard to judge as I was getting thrown around on the road. I feel as though the ECU is still learning some stuff as well. Whether or not it is worth $4k is yet to be determined, but initial thoughts are that I am happy, but was expecting a little more. I did find that I got up to 70 in a hurry when I romped on it. I will make a video comparison here in the next few days which will show the differences. I am also getting some new tires which I feel will help my cause a lot! I did powerslide it through like the busiest intersection in town already though lol.

Overdrive pulley on the S/C?? :spy:

Could also be your 5500 ft worth of elevation. Remember I was telling you my taco was pretty gutless up there compared to what I was used too.

I'm sure the elevation doesn't help! Didn't really think about that. I will run it like this for a while and see how it does with my new tires, supporting mods, and other shtuff...

    Haha oh Marcel

General rule is -8 hp for every 1000 ft above sea level. Adds up pretty quick

So I'm like 40 horse down? Ouch... I remember when I drove it to Minnesota a couple summers ago it ripped. It should do much better this summer at near sea level lol

haha, yup, makes a big difference man. Remember when I got my dyno on the xrunner with intake/chip/exhaust and only pulled 176 hp? The dyno shop in Calgary I was at was at 2700 ft.

Just found a calculation online for how to determine power loss at elevation. The calculation is:

HP LOSS = ([elevation in feet] x 0.03 x [HP at sea level]) / 1000

If that's true, I'll just assume that I am at 300hp-ish... I'm approx 1 mi above sea level here (5280 feet) which would come out to a 15.84% loss of power or 47 hp which would put me at 253hp ! Makes me feel better though

This makes sense. Finally got a Boost gauge on my dads. Only hits 6.5psi max and we have the smaller pulley wheel on it. We are at 4800 feet i think..or 4200..can't remember.

Get a Uconn and 7th injector and smaller wheel :D

I might go with a smaller pulley, but in lieu of the UCON and 7th I will likely do the FPR mod and get larger injectors... And then proceed from there :) I'm gonna go a while before I mod more. I need to get down to Texas this summer and see how she runs and the way I am sitting now I feel as though I can do it reliably. Only things planned between now and June would be a bung welded into the collector of my headers for my AFR gauge and purchase/install of a boost gauge.

Just remember that intake/exhaust/headers will lower your reported boost number while still providing more power. From what I have read your dad's truck is where it should be.

    Using an educated guess:
The larger intakes/exhaust allow more room for the compressed gasses to expand. Thus lowering the peak pressure even though its the same volume of air just spread out over a larger space.

It is natural for the manifold pressure to drop a little with increased flowing components.

Example: Snake bite on stock block made 16psi. After an engine rebuild, same compression, but with heavy porting on lower plenum and heads, and the same pulley, the new reading was ~12psi.

but that was changing the head itself..which makes sense.

I don't see how changing the exhaust and intake as anything to do with that..

the only place that sees the boost pressure is in the manifold(which is the SC) and inside the head..other then that..no where else does.
