    I seen u had ur tail lights spray tinted black and there not LED! How many coats did u do? I still have factory ones and all led lights out there for taco I don't care fore.. I know only downside to there not as bright if I were to spray tint them don't wanna make them hard to see the tail light!! And is ur roof an bottom piece sprayed carbon fibre? Is it like the box liner spray??

    I did 3 light coats of VHT niteshade, but it seems to be that they have lost some of their darkness over the past couple years. I have heard that they all do this though. Mine tinted are really not all that dark, especially when I am on the brakes or the running lights are on. I have had others check them out for brightness and had not one person say that they couldn't see them. I would like to get some 2009+ LED ones and get them tinted with a few drops of black into some clear coat. It would hold up better and would not lose its darkness over time as the niteshade has. Roof and lower valence are done with Plasti-Dip :cool:

    Well $300 later she is back in fighting form! Its almost exactly what I thought happened too. I installed the horseshoe clip that holds the high pressure line to the tank incorrectly. I suppose there's also a chance I could have been taking in a tiny bit of air all the while as well who knows...? Either way its back! :yay:

    Unfortunately not... Due to the uncertainty of its condition I booked a flight instead because I was on a time crunch via the company. If I were to drive I would miss my sister's HS graduation too. I am currently preemptively planning on having my dad drive it down to KC when I am there after my first 3 weeks in TX and then I will have it from there.
    Location really wasn't the issue... I just didn't have the time to get to it while I was still here. I wouldn't put that on you anyway

    Was plasti dipping the roof a good idea? im thinking about doing the same.
    did you use the spray can or the brush? also how many did you need if using the can? thanks!

    I don't have any regrets as far as dipping the roof was concerned. I taped everything off and sprayed. I used about a can and a half, but I would recommend using a solid two cans to make the covering thicker. The thicker you put it on the easier it is to take it off later.
    It is in fact the derp... At least for now. Holds up very well. I will pull it off eventually and possibly vinyl it, but I will say that it does hold up very well.

    I don't know if there really is a "right way" to apply plasti-dip, but for my surfaces I wash, clay bar, and wax the surfaces I am going to spray in preparation and ease of removal. Whether it really helps anything or not I will probably never know lol

    They should sell clay bars at most auto parts stores. Meguiars sells a kit that I like to use. Can't remember exactly what it is called though
