With the S/C the gains should be larger than if it were on a N/A setup. I am intrigued by the equal length headers he just released (I'd like to see some numbers), but for the most part I am kinda shying away from URD for a while when it comes to Intake/Exhaust components. I can have a Stainless Y-Pipe and full exhaust custom built for not a whole lot more than just one of their components. Shipping isn't helping the cause either. So if I do decide to pull the trigger that is likely what I will do. That way I can have it all done just the way I want.

I'm in a tough place when it comes to performance on this truck right now though. I have come to the realization that in order to make it just a little bit faster, I need to put out a decent amount to the tune of about $3k. That would be for the UCON, full exhaust makeover, smaller pulley, etc. I've been wanting to buy a performance car for a long while and the more money I throw at the truck the further away I get from that goal. Buying a house didn't do me any favors in the finances department either. I am torn at the moment... And have resorted to making no vehicle decisions at least until winter is over barring nothing goes wrong in the meantime (but I've said that before ).

Hey Colton, before you leave MN you should get up to Duluth! I went to school there and it's a pretty sweet area. There are some good trails north of Duluth too!

Start with just the Y, and then you'll be able to notice how each part's gains feel. Look up Lucario Runner's dyno chart in my thread, and you can see exactly how much the URD Y improves the power band from before and after, as the only change. Very impressive gains for N/A actually. To bad automatic transmission dynos have to start at such a high RPM.

That is exactly what I said!

Oh yeah! For N/A it is almost a power loss, but I was implying that the S/C won't see as big of gains as a Turbo. Guess I should have specified.

Yeah I find it pretty odd that putting those headers on a dyno wasn't the first thing that Gadget did... I have been debating upgrading the headers and y-pipe since the OEM headers suck and my y-pipe is half crushed, but haven't wanted to drop the coin yet... Hell I am completely stock under the hood still.

Yeah, the saving money thing is hard when you own a toy that you just want to dump more money into...

They should be a nice amount over what Lucario Runner's did, N/A. If I was on a computer, I would copy and past the graph here, from my thread.

Hahaha that's awesome! Part of me wants to move back to Duluth. You bought a house in willmar? probably about 3.5 hours from duluth. You have a lady friend/wife? if so Solglimt b&b near the lift bridge in duluth is awesome. A drive up the lake superior north shore to grand marais will not dissapoint. Hit goosberry falls, split rock lighthouse ect. That's the Grandmas marathon route too. Hit Canal park and watch a thousand foot taconite laker come in or go out. Hanabi restaurant has great sushi. Enger tower is fun to check out too, that's on the hill in Duluth. idk if you hunt but there is good black bear hunting just north of duluth.

Thank you Brady, those are the ones.

Just the y-pipe, without any modification to the flange, picked up ~30 whp and ~25wtq at the end of the RPM range. Pretty freaking good for N/A! And it was hotter that day as well.

Haha we've all got our regrets. I've already got a new plan in my head that would be amazing... however, I am not sure if I want to put the time and money into another project like that.

After pinging while going up a long grade in avg summer temps here while N/A, I ripped that thing out.
Same grade, same temps, same engine N/A, same gas grade and roughly same station type (since I bought the truck I only run chevron or shell highest octane) and very rarely Costco when I'm around town and have a membership. I had no pinging.

Could be coincidence, but I was not happy with taking anymore chances. I contemplated rigging a bypass switch for it in case I found myself in a situation where I may be around another large/long grade and high ambient temps, but ended up selling it instead.

Not having the ability to switch on the fly, or adjust itself for safety just wasn't worth it for me.... I obviously don't miss it now, took out maybe a max of 15hp and bolted on approx 70hp sounds like a decent compromise..... Although I now have Tor, Colton, Matt, and a few others spending my money for me ;)

Thank you very much. I have plans, but not sure the direction I am planning to go next.
I'll trade ya straight up, I'm always looking for a new platform :p

These were built by me from donor stock headlights. You will need to get your parts from theretrofitsource.com. They have a group buy going on here to get a good discount on parts if thats a direction you would like to go. Pm me for details if you would really like to do it and need help.

As an aside, I am getting real tired of the sloppy shifting of this pickup. Depending on what I decide as to the future direction of this truck I may get the IPT VB upgrade. I think it would tighten up the feel of it by a lot. Something else on the list is new steering bushings. That has needed addressing for a long time now.

    Hey Memmario1214,

How do you like those LR UCA's?

Been doing a lot reading on the suspension posts and I'm thinking about running a 3" OME Lift kit w/ 2" AAL in the rear. can't decide which UCA though. From what I have read a lot of people prefer the TC UCA over the LR UCA.

    Wondering what you think man?

Do you think I would be fine with the LR since I won't be doing any rock crawling or hardcore mudding. It will also be a Daily Driver.

How is it working out for you any major defects?
