I took stock headlights and retrofitted FX-R projectors into them. There are DIYs around here on how to do it. Or else you could always pay someone to do it for you.

For the build: Truck has been running real weird lately. After talking to a couple people on here and doing some research online as well as tearing the truck doen this weekend I have ironed it down to a couple things... either my TPS has gone bad or else I have a vacuum leak somewhere. Gonna replace the TPS tonight if I can get the part just to iron one thing out. If I take it to a shop it'll cost me as much as the part just to have them look at it. Got a 200mi drive on Friday and I need the truck running well. Wonder if this might be part of the stuff I would notice time to time this summer as well.

Was really to busy to really get into the texts these past few days, getting ready for the race. I apologize about that.

Are there any strange fluctuations in the AFR's? Boost gauge reading differently? Explain a few more details if you don't mind.

TPS is throttle position sensor right? Mine is going out in my car (it is throttle by cable instead of wire like our Tacos) and it gets real finicky on occasion. I've had it throw the code a couple times but it goes right back to acting normal for months at a time between acting up so I have yet to replace it.

AFR has been doing some strange fluctuations from time to time as well. I will see it drop randomly and then come right back up. Boost guage reading fine, but sitting at 0 like all the time. The truck almost always wants to be in boost. Also, one more thing that I did notice today, which may have been going on forever and I just didn't know it was my dash lights would dim... ever so slightly every second or so

Boost gauge at idle is at "0"?

Dash is dimming huh? Need to get that battery tested. Might have a bad cell or so.

Well... one issue solved. The battery tested good on the handheld, but failed the load test miserably. Put a new one in and took it for a drive... same thing. My stupid ass forgot to take into account that their little clock preserver thing that they plug into the OBDII will maintain the ECU and whatever party tricks it might have picked up. That dawned on me as I was on my way back. Disconnected the negative terminal and left it off for a few minutes. First time turning it over it caught and died right away. Tried it again and it seems to all be good in the hood. I will know for sure when I go home tonight.

I really can't believe that was the issue. It's not 100% confirmed and I will know for sure in the morning, but a few things seem to be ironed out for the better. I was able to stay out of boost on the way home and the hard starts seem to be gone. Tomorrow should be the true test.

How long did you leave this battery disconnected?

Disconnect it for about 15 minutes. Let the capacitors drain to completely reset the computer.

When I put the truck in the garage tonight I'll disconnect the negative and leave it overnight.
