Members without any posts

Is there any way to see how many members there are here that have not made a post?

Ok so now that that random occurrence has been taken care of!

I counted they being 7962 members with a "zero" post count. That is just over 46% of all of tacomaworlds 17,000 + members.

My question is Why? Do you think they joined so they could access pictures? What other explanations are out there?

Yeah... by my count we have 7,962 members who have never posted.

There's another 1,982 w/ just one post.

Ego boosting: I'm about #96 based on post count, though I'm FAR behind several of the top dogs. Chris4x4 and Tacomaman have more than 16,000 posts on me!

I always worry about buying anything from someone who has 0 or very few post counts. You don't know if they joined to rip us off or not.

 

I agree I don'r hold anything against 0 post counters normally. If they come on here and their first few posts are trying to sell stuff, especially if they are overcharging, then I do begin to judge them. Most of the stuff in the BST sub-forum is reasonable priced because members are trying to help members out. New guys may not have the same feeling of community and are just trying to make some money.

However if they are just lurking for information, I don't have any problems with that whatsoever. It might be a little intimidating to come on and offer information when there are so many other knowledgable people on board. Also there are so many questions/answers posted that their input may have already been covered...multiple times

 

my boyfriend is a member but has never posted. pretty sure he joined just to check out the UG

 

For me dgerm is right on with the second half of his post. Until now I have never posted becuase I am just enjoying reading the post and about any question I have has already been covered.

The guy that told me about the site is one of the people w/ just 1 post. He uses the site for information and has found plenty.

I mean after all, this forum is designed for the dissemination of information so I don't see any problems with people using it just for that.

husker- can you answer a question for me? What caused you to actually take the step and join rather than browsing as a guest?
