X4! This is the best group of people ever. I can't imagine not logging in everyday to see what's going on with the "family".

 

I have accounts on other forums too but this is like home and enjoy the site. Great to see all the friendly toyota truck enthusiasts here on TW!

I've learned a lot, sometimes more than I need to , sometimes just to show support during tough times.

I found / joined CT first....and left.... then found TW!

EVERY TIME I posted, whether it was a comment, compliment, or question I got a pound of sh!t from one of the jerks on that site. I couldn't say anything right. I haven't changed anything about how I post but I can come here and everything's cool?

I can tell someone "I ike the black wheels better" without being personally attacked?

I'm just concerned that the douchebags will end up here and give me the same experience. I don't have time to run up thousands of posts, but I'd still like to be a member of this community / go to meetups without getting bombarded with insults from retards...

They're talking about starting a new forum. I run some forums and it's CONSTANT work. Good luck to them. Personally I hope the ones that I'm thinking of go there and bask in their own arrogance...

Yeah the same happened on my favorite snowmobile site, the negativity got really bad.... guess its a trend for these companies to buy up websites?

TW is the only membership I have; I looked over the other sites way back when, but they just didn't work for me. I've been part of forums that got sold to big companies before, and they almost always fall apart. Even the ones that were very close prior to the sale.

We are a big family, and I agree with Janster:

We can always sic nd on 'em, or TacoArk can kick some ass! LOL!

 

I check out ct every now and then to check out the pacific region but now its a sponsor page although the guy who made ct will still be overseeing the site it just wont be the same and they try to get you to buy a membership to get rid of ad's i left a couple of sites and found tw to be the most relaxed and even the mods noticed i was here more often and now its mainly TW!

 

I'm goina be spending some more time over here at TW.

i agree, it does sound cheesy but this place is great. not only is it informative (albeit only about 6% of the time) but its a great community of friends. i've never been on another site that bombards members in need with PM's filled with words of encouragement. if this place turns shitty i dont know what i'd do

glad to have you aboard Cheese. we are pretty laid back here, very little flaming (what flaming there is gets stopped right away usually) and we just hang out and have a good time. as long as you have a good attitude and can put up with lethal amounts of sarcasm and good natured ribbing you'll be fine.

unfortunately this site is not geared toward alot of mods that you guys do over at CT but tcBob (admin) is really good with working with the members and adding sections that members would like to see. if other CT members come over it will just be a matter of time before we get a good street truck section going on this forum (form my understanding thats mostly what CT was geared towards) welcome aboard Cheese!

well, to put it bluntly, assholes are not allowed on TW. they are either immediately set straight or banned. so i'm not worried about TW becoming a breeding ground for arrogant pricks. we just all need to be watchful and if we see inappropriate behavior, we need to take it upon ourselves to POLITELY let the offender know that it is not tolorated. if it continues then we report it and let the mods deal with it.

yeah, i'll start visiting other sections of the forum more often to make sure to help police the site. dont forget Ed, he's always good at conflict resolution, i'm sure he'll keep his eyes open
