Anyway to install a memory seat function on a trd off road, cloth interior but power seat? I had it set perfect for me, then my daughter sat in it and moved the seat. Having a manual, I need it in my spot, which im having a hard time getting back to. Don't want to go through it again. Anyone do this?

I don’t know of a solution, but I think it sucks that Toyota left the memory button out on out trucks. My wife’s 4 year older 4Runner has 2 memory buttons. No power seats should come without one.

I’m pretty sure most seats don’t have the memory portion built in. Most seem to be tied to the mirror settings and the key fob number. That leads me to believe, its actual memory is buried deep in other system ECUs.
Anything is possible, but it might be cheaper and easier to buy a used vehicle (while not as new and nice as your truck) for her.

100% agree - electric seats without memory are the worst way you could have it. Memory seats are great and fully manual is the second best

Lol, she doesn't drive it. She just wanted to sit in it, which in doing so messed with my seat settings. Yea, I dont know why.

I retrofitted memory seats into my truck but had to remove all of the memory parts as they depended on the CAN BUS System in the donor vehicle which I only got the seats from. (Audi Seats). Al though likely possible you likely would need quite a bit of work to get them working.

For now, adjust to your liking. Then mark positions with UV ink.

Don't waste your time and money and just try to reset it.
Tell your family if anyone messes with the seat settings of your Taco they're dis-inherited ha ha.

Set the seat where you like it, then unplug the harness so the switches are INOP

Anytime I take it in for service the seat is always moved and it takes some serious tweaking to get it back to the sweet spot. It's annoying to be sure, but not something I'd spend time or money to correct. One of those "nice to haves" for the next vehicle.

Once I find the spot good idea. I still am making minor adjustments, I'm only at only 1400 miles. My 1991 seating with no up or down or anything, bench seat, was perfect. Or at least I thought the seating was.
