    Oem dome Light and bulb

Today while trying to install my meso customs map lights I ran into an issue. First off my map lights only have about 2in of wire. In the vids I've watched there was much more. Not sure if this is an issue but I digress. I installed the meso light on the driver side. All is good on that side. I put in the passenger side and the LEDs stay on. Car off, light switch off, does matter. Drivers side works well but the passenger is always on. Well finally I got frustrated enough just to install the oem bulbs back and now I'm getting the same issue where the passenger light is always on with the oem bulb too. What the hell is going on???

I don't think the button is stuck because it operates the drivers side bulb correctly.

There's individual buttons to turn the lights on separately. The buttons (lights) themselves push up towards the headliner to activate individually

the little button up overhead is depressed.
Also, pop the LED board out(of the plastic) and flip it 180degrees this should give enough slack to plug in

So that was the cause of the light being always on. Thank you so much.

But now another problem. The wire is so short I can't get the light mounted in the hole. (I'm sure I have it on the correct side, I matched the button masher of the map light to the button)

Like Meso said, pop the board out and flip it 180* then snap it back in.

MVP of the thread. Yup, I got frustrated and completely forgot about the little depress button. This corrected the on/off problem (duh)

Also thanks @MESO for the board flip recommendation. All working and installed properly now.

I'm going to blame the combination of stress at work and excitement of a new part for this situation lol
